really nice
The first delivery was not accepted, because the package was severely damaged. However, after speaking with customer service at Signature Hardware right away, their rep was able to resolve the issue very readily, and a replacement was sent out promptly. Signature Hardware was great to work with and really nice, and we did not lose any time in our project. The replacement was perfect with no damage. It is a really beautiful piece, well made, and works really well.

Don't Buy - Poorly Designed
While I can't fault the materials used, the POOR design of the mechanism used to extend and retract the top and bottom "bolt" is a horrible design. Instead of using a more dependable (and probably expensive) geared mechanism, the designers cut corners and used a piece of flexible steel with holes in it that pins in the rotating handle push up and down. Sadly the design is not very tight and after turning the knob a couple of times, it actually bound up then the internal pieces FELL APART inside the knob housing. VERY POOR DESIGN. Unfortunately my return window had passed before I installed it or I would have returned it for refund. DO NOT BUY IT. It will not last with repeated use.

Not well-engineered
We purchased two of these locks to place on vintage-looking doors we had installed and wanted extra security locks. The first one stripped out within the first week and the other within 3 months. Had to remove and putty the holes in the wooden doors. Though the locks are beautiful, the mechanism is obviously not well-engineered. Would not recommend.
