This product is great for repelling liquids.One negative side effect I observed after prolonged use that it leaves the of rust and it seems not want to clean off.I've owned work boots for almost years and have always able keep them clean. This is the first time I ever applied water proof spray my boots.I applied this spray my black workboots and effectiveness was great for the first couple weeks but shortly afterwards i started to observe a burnt red tint on the edges of my boots (it looked as though they rusting). I would get boots wet and would appear clean off until dried.

I'm disappointed in the longevity and durability of this product. It doesn't maintain its hydrophobic properties well at all.My primary application was shoes and an ATV, and it offered negligible, if any, protection. My shoes were impressively hydrophobic for about 3-5 minutes, and afterwards became a sponge.

Yet another hydrophobic product that doesn't work. Sure, it works to a certain extent, but not completely. Just take a look at the picture I used it on a customer's CLK320. I have used other products over the last few weeks and every time it rains he complains that water starts coming through the fabric. I don't know what product there is out there that I can use to completely waterproof these fabric tops! So I went for something, the best hydrophobic I can find on Amazon, this was supposed to be it and yet it sucks. You can see that water beads up for the most part, but repeated sprinkling in an area, which would be the entire top when it's raining, allows it to soak through. Since this product is supposed to waterproof stuff, I'm not giving you any more than one star. It does not work. And I sprayed the top three times. I let each coat dry completely, and I decided to keep going until the bottle ran out because this customer is starting to really get frustrated with this whole process. Quite frankly, I have spent more money on product then I got in the first place that I charged him to do this job. So I have lost money on this, and it just doesn't work.UPDATE 1 DAY LATER: : it just finished raining and it doesn't look like there's any repellent on the sing whatsoever the interior of this car is soaked and I have never had such a crappy product that I've ever bought in my entire life.

Ive used it to treat my two outside wooden wheelchair ramps and a nylon poncho and I have plenty left in the bottle. It hasn't rained yet so I can't say how well it works but I'm actually looking forward to seeing it in "Action"

I just ordered my 2nd bottle. I used the 1st on several types of surfaces (ceramic, unpainted plastic, nylon, cotton & leather). Initial water repellency is excellent. (I don't know how long it lasts yet.) Coverage is very good. Very low odor. Easy to use. So far, I'm very pleased. There are lots of other waterproofers on the market now, but this is the only 1 I've found that works very well on both porous & non-porous materials & the price is very reasonable.

I used it on my roshe runs. It makes them waterproof but it hardens the fabric. So it appears rougher than it is.

Works great! Bought more! This dried clear and protected several wooden flower baskets. Usually the baskets may last a year then look grungy. The sprayed baskets look the same at the end of the season as they did at the start! Patio chair was starting to look "used", but after the spray it has perked up and water beads up on it so it runs off with a quick tilt. :-)

Not to sure about this... I sprayed my leather wallet and followed all the instructions and it didn't seem to repel the water as much as all the other reviews implied it repelled a little bit of water but maybe that's just because my wallet is leather.
