Fantastic Mat
I have a Manduka mat as my main home practice mat. I love that mat. I've had it for years and it shows very little wear. I finally had the opportunity to make a space for practice at work (days when I don't get up early enough to practice at home) and I wanted a decent mat that I could leave there that wouldn't cost me a ton because it just didn't warrant that. I wouldn't be using it every day. I also didn't want to drag the Manduka back and forth. Let's face it, that's a heavy mat.I took a gamble and ordered this one not expecting to love it as much as I do. I've only practiced a few times on it but I want to absolutely recommend this mat. Its thick enough that when I use it on the tile floors I don't feel fatigue though I do feel the big spaces where the floor is uneven (not a big deal as I have a little leverage where I can place the mat and no mat will perfect this floor). It's sticky enough without being too sticky. I like it almost as much as my Manduka. When I head out to a class, I'll probably take this mat unless it's a super long class. This mat is much easier to lug around and it does the job.

Closed-Cell Construction for the WIN
I bought this mat (the PRO Mat, in Coral) for my hot yoga practice, because it's closed-cell construction. It's exceeded my expectations. The close-cell TPE means it doesn't hold moisture, so it remains stink-free and dries quickly after use. 10 minutes after finishing a 90-minute sweat-drenched Bikram session, it was dry and ready to be rolled up. It also weighs less than your typical PVC (open-cell) mat, so it's easier to carry around. The cushioning is just right. It's thin enough, but springy. I love how long it is (72") so I don't hang off the mat in savasana. It pairs well with the YogaRat towels, which are the best in the industry and what initially got me hooked on the YogaRat brand. For yogis considering the Manduka PRO lite, this is really a good comparison item and costs much less. With any TPE mat, they are photo-degradable so it's important to keep them out of direct sunlight or they will become brittle over time.

I use it for Piyo (Pilates/Yoga from Beachbody) so it can be a pretty sweaty workout
Received this mat yesterday and immediately used it. I use it for Piyo (Pilates/Yoga from Beachbody) so it can be a pretty sweaty workout. When I took it out of the box it had a light smell but nothing crazy strong or offensive. Initially it felt super grippy but once I was heavy into my workout I was slipping a bit, mainly during down-dog. I think overall it's something I could live with, but I am considering getting yoga gloves for the workouts that include more mat work than others.I do love the thickness of this mat. I previously had the Danskin Now mat, given to me by a friend who wasn't going to use it. It was good in the beginning but was pretty much torn up and worn out a month later from heavy Piyo. This mat is great for my knees, I think the thickness is perfect. It definitely does not absorb moisture and 100% stays put on the floor. I use mine over an area rug, currently, and it didn't move the entire workout. I kept having to re-position my last mat constantly during my workouts.I would give this mat 5 stars if I didn't have to consider yoga gloves. Overall though, I enjoyed using this mat the first time and am trying a different workout on it today. If anything changes after I've used it more, I'll update my review.

Cushioned, easy to clean, and a great length!
Finally retired my old yoga mat and went with this one --- I use them 90% of the time as workout mats, so I wanted one that would stand up to more than just yoga sequences.PROS:-It's really cushioned, but not so much that it makes it difficult to balance or move-It does seem to wipe clean pretty easily-MOST of the time, it's really non-slip and grippy-so far it's holding up to my workouts well, but I've only used it a handful of times.CONS:-I haven't had it long enough to tell you how it holds up to more long-term wear-and-tear, especially as an exercise mat rather than just a yoga mat.-There was one workout where I was extra sweaty, and my palms did start to slip, so I don't know how grippy it would be for something like hot yoga or real HIIT routines.-It doesn't come with any kind of strap --- I don't travel with it or go to classes, so it's not a problem for me, but I know some people look for that added convenience.

Not for me, but might be right for you
I was looking for a new mat at a better price than the absurdly expensive ones in yoga studios. This mat has a nice thickness, a little softer than most, easy on the joints. However it also does have a slight plasticky smell to it (I'm sure it would fade over time, but for advertising lack of smell, a little disappointing), and the material is "photodegradable" so would break down if used in the sun regularly, something I either missed or was not clear when I purchased it. I do like to do yoga outside sometimes, so that's not ideal for me, and I prefer a little thinner/firmer texture, so I'm returning it. If you like a soft mat, aren't worried about a little new-mat smell, and don't want to take your mat outside, you would probably be happy with this purchase!

It is WONDERFULLY sticky and gives you that extra support and tackiness
I have had this mat for about one year. I have the "Pro" version - not the Classic. It has held up to numerous handwashings with hot water and soap as well as intense vacuumings with a Dyson, and I take it to classes with me and use it at home almost daily for short 20-30 min. practices. It is WONDERFULLY sticky and gives you that extra support and tackiness. It is also extremely light and easy to carry - I roll it up and stick it in a shoulder strap thing, and I'm good to go. I have a Gaiam mat made of PVC, which I sometimes use underneath it for extra cushioning at home, but the PVC texture is way more slippery, and after using this mat, I refuse to use anything else. I have bought two additional identical mats to share with family and for travel, and it is my absolute favorite mat.

Very good and steady yoga mat
Very good and steady yoga mat.It offers great support and cushioning during the poses and feels very comfortable. I was looking for a durable mat and I can tell it is going to last for some time because it is very resistant. However, if you are buying it for hot/ power yoga be advised it needs a towel on it, as the mat gets quite a bit slippery when wet - since it does not absorb moisture, as advertised. Their yoga towels are good for this purpose. The mat has a bit of a chemical smell when you first open it, but I let it air for some time and wiped it with a little bit of soap and water and it was much better right after the first time I used it. The smell has not disrupted my practice though.

Love the colour and the grip
The box it came on was much too big! Literally three or four times the necessary size and with a lot of paper padding.Other than that the mat is great, has a good grip and colour as described. Only negative is it takes a while to lie completely flat and is also fairly difficult to roll

Excellent mat
This is an excellent mat, stronly recommend. I bought it two years ago and it doesn't show any sign of wear and tear. I don't know what the buyer who gave it 1 star did to it?! This is one the best mats I ever bought and I'm a Yoga teacher. Shame it's not currently in stock, I would have bought another one.

The mat has a good feel to it and is just thick enough
The mat has a good feel to it and is just thick enough. I love it and the fact that it will break down.
