The Hummingbird Bakery Life Is Sweet

I adore all of the hummingbird bakery cookbooks. This one is no exception. It's lovely, and the recipes are wonderful. I enjoy not having to use measuring cups when I cook, and using my kitchen scale instead, and I also love the fact that the sweet treats aren't nearly as tooth achingly sweet as American sweets are.

This is a very unusual recipe book, perhaps not to everyone's taste, but personally, bar a couple of the stranger recipes, I think it's a wonderful book with some very different recipes in it. The cover is beautiful and has two different textures, it's a good quality binding and the pages are glossy with beautiful photos. I think it is a lovely book, and it really stands out in my very large collection of cook books as a book that was made with love, full of unusual recipes. This is not another Delia/Nigela basic classic baking book, this is a modern and adventurous list of recipes that will change the way you bake. This is one that I will enjoy working my way through, and I hope you all can too. I definitely recommend this!
