I wish it was longer but thats my problem with any book I read nowadays. The story is never long enough because I read them so fast. Over all great book though

Definitely can relate to Tracy on every level. I read this a thousand years ago and I reread it again this week. I will always be a huge fan of Omar Tyree.

Ive had this book before but fell apart then got lost. I love the story so i wanted to buy it again but didnt expect it to be small print like it is but i guess its good for travel.

Such an interesting read. It’s definitely a page turner. I enjoy how the author express each character actions and also the event scenery. I feel like I’m watching a movie just imagining how things take place. I love this book! Made me reminisce on my younger days growing up and watching how young girls acted like grown women lol. But yeah! Awesome book. I’m planning on reading part two and I been hoping that after all theses years since this book was written, where is the movie????????

I enjoyed witnessing the evolution of the characters. Their journies were authentic and realistic. This book wasn't ambiguous and was an easy read. Some of the story drug along a bit and seemed repetitive. Overall, great book. I recommend this book for anyone that enjoys urban literature. There's a focus on teens as they learn about love, sex and life in general.

I’ve read this book more times then I can count with both hands. Each time it’s like a first read. Omar Tyree this book will forever be a classic. Thanks for the continued nostalgia.

This book is definitely a collectors item! As a teenager I think I wanted to be Tracy lol… the imagery of the book takes me back to my youth. I think I read this book at age 13, as an adult I wouldn’t recommend to for teens but it’s a book for teenagers. I read it as an adult and it wasnt as interesting, more than likely because I don’t think like a hot in the pants teenager anymore! I really hate the glorification of the hood drug dealer, who gets the good girl who gets good grades. But that’s what they promote to young black teens unfortunately. Over all it’s a decent book.

I'm definitely past the coming of age stage that this book is based around but this was a good read, it shows how fast young girls grow up and the influences that surround them at home and environmentally. It's just an overall good read especially for black girls.

Amazing book. I read this book over 10 years ago and decided to order it for a friend. The book grips you from the start and you really get to know all the characters well and also connect with them. A great read overall

I LOVE THIS BOOK. It is so engaging, juicy and exciting. Omar's best book by far. I would definitely recommend this book for those seeking a good read. It provides a feeling of nostalgia, taking you back to the 80's era. Fly Girl is a fly book.

Revisited after 10 years, great story. Very relatable to me. Story told effortlessly. Going back through my Omar Tyree collection is so fun and nostalgic.

My 10th time reading. Still love it
