This mat is long, comfortable, and non skid. But it was pretty slippery the first few times. My feet and hands would very slowly start to slip (probably wouldn't be noticeable to anyone else, its something you can feel rather than see). This wasn't hot yoga and I certainly wasn't sweating - just the sheer body heat from my bare hands and feet against the mat caused the sliding. However, I contacted the company and the owner, Dennis, responded right away. Here are some tips he included in his email, and maybe they will help you too. I am so glad I didn't return it, because after only washing it twice, it made a huge difference. I also love how it has sort of a memory foam quality. You can see the imprints your hands and feet make in the mat, yet once you're finished, it goes right back to its original state."I hope you don't mind me contacting you directly, but I read your e mail and I want to make sure we do everything possible to help you with your slipping issue. This is not an uncommon problem with new mats. There is a certain amount of resin (oil) they use to make mats. This is in all synthetic materials and you will even get in most natural rubbers. When you perspire it will activate the resin and bring to the top of the mat and create slipping. Why we tell you to wash your mat is that it helps expedite the aging process, which will eventually eliminate most of the resin. It's like a pair of jeans. They are very stiff in its natural state and we spend a fortune for all these expensive washing processes to soften and make the jean more comfy. The same thing happens with a mat. The more you use it the less slippery it will get.Please continue to follow the washing instructions below it may take a few washes and use. I understand how frustrating it could be, but this is not unusual with a new mat.* Wash your mat in the washing machine alone with detergent on gentle, warm water and extra rinse cycle. This will help break in your mat. Repeat as needed. If you have an older top loader machine with an agitator I recommend washing by hand with a brush or coarse sponge to avoid any damage to the mat.* After rinsing your mat wrap your mat in a bath towel and squeeze excess water out.* Hang dry outside in the sun if possible. DO NOT PUT IN DRYER. The sun will help dry up the resins in your mat* Hang dry over shower rod if you can't dry outside. Make sure mat is completely dry before using."The fact that he responded directly and was so helpful was very impressive to me. They obviously care about their product and service. Apparently these instructions came with the mat and of course I discarded it, not realizing. Don't hesitate to buy this mat, and don't give up if you feel yourself "slipping" on first try. Doesn't take long to break in!

[update] still thrilled with this mat. five months later and my mat looks like it is brand new. I do usually use it with a full-size yoga towel because I go to hot classes and I'm afraid of slipping because I sweat so much. Today I went to class without my towel because it was in the washing machine. I really expected to slip all over the place in downward dog because I've used a manduka in this class and was slipping like crazy. Well, I got through the entire class and DID NOT SLIP ONCE! Unbelievable!!! I still like using my towel to soak up the extra sweat, but it's so nice to know that it's not a necessity. I would recommend this mat to EVERYONE. Simply the best!I go to yoga classes six days a week. I just started a couple months ago, and I can't get enough of it. However, when I first started, I was using a really thin, cheap mat, and I could tell that my practice was suffering because of it. I would constantly slip in downward dog, and any positions that put my knee(s) on the mat would cause knee pain. I knew that I needed to upgrade my mat, but didn't want to spend the $80 or $90 on the black mat that everyone around me had. I searched amazon.com and other sites to search for what I thought I would never find: a high-quality, well-padded mat for a reasonable price. Well, this mat is that and more. First of all, it has no rubbery or synthetic smell. In fact, it is completely ordorless (even in very close proximity, i.e., when your nose is pressed into the mat for a pose). It is very thick and well-padded. When I kneel, the knee pain I was experiencing is completely gone. It is longer than most, so I can stretch out and not worry about running out of room (I'm 5'6). I usually do a hot vinyasa where the room's 100 degrees and I'm pouring sweat, so I use a yoga towel. I do not slip at all with the towel. Actually, when you sweat THAT much, I can't imagine ANY mat being 100% slip-proof (the first class I ever took I rented one of those $80 black mats and my hands were slipping all over the place). The one time I did a slow burn (less heat, less intense, less sweat), I didn't use the towel and didn't slip at all. This company's customer service is unfathomable in this day and age. This owner really cares about his products and it shows. What else? I love the color of my mat. I got the orangey/mustard yellow one. Last but not least, the price is EXTREMELY reasonable. I hope to use this mat for years to come. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to better their yoga practice.

値段以上の良いものでした。ヨガマットは厚みもそうですが、密度も大切です。これは6ミリでもしっかりしており、ロゴも入って高級感もあります。色も落ち着いていい色で、買って正解でした。ただ在庫がなくなって追加できないのが残念です、

初めてヨガマットを購入しました。他商品との比較はできませんが・・・１．MADE　IN　TAIWAN　です。２．ロージンバックが付属しています。３．材質は記載ありませんが（マル秘？）シリコン、ラテックス、フタル酸が含有されていないと記載されています。４．生物分解性廃棄物と記載されています。総じて環境に配慮した材質という事でしょう。５．臭いは全くと言っていい程しません。６．色は綺麗です。パステル調のパープルという感じです。汚れ等はありませんでした。７．縦方向のサイズは183cmありました。174cmの私ですがこの位のサイズで丁度良いと思います。８．使用感は立位での運動は安定感がありますがひざに全体重を1点集中するような運動は床の堅さを拾い少々痛いです。マット厚は用途により変えた方が良いのかもしれません。持ち運びは考えていなくキャリーバック等は必要なかったので総じて満足のいく商品でした。

厚さも丁度良かったです。今度、ピィラティスのレッスンに持っていきます。色も落ち着いたブルーで良かったです。
