I empty the bowl at least once a day and wipe it out. Using a white towel that turns dark gray when I wipe out the bowl.I reported early that the dish was easily tipped out by the dog and did not stay in place. Now I am not sure it's safe for the dog. Also, interesting that no one responded to the first review from the company. I don't expect a response now, but I think the customers need to know.

Although the price was decent and product was delivered in time frame as promised, I was disappointed in the product itself. I ordered large, as I have two boxer pups. The description, I believe said, large was adequate for large dogs....Nope, the dachsund mix I used to have ate more food than the bowl held; certainly not adequate for medium to large breed dogs. I suggest buyers measure out how many cups/ounces of food they give at feeding and choose proper size. Obviously, I did not do so.

This is an all right bowl and it basically works. The 3 things that I don't like about this set up are all design issues and not quality or manufacturing defects. For what it is and how its made it works and will do the job. I listed my reasons for not liking it below. Otherwise it worked for the job I needed it for at the time.One is that clamping system is a single bolt with a wide flat bar. Without any tabs or another bolt there is nothing else stopping the two pieces from twisting and the contents of the bowl being spilled.The second issue I have is that the bowl fits very loosely and can be knocked out of the bracket very easily. I had to add a rubber band below the clip to keep the bowl from being jostled out of the bracket when I was carrying the cage.Lastly the the bolt is so long. I don't understand why crate bowl brackets all come with such long bolts to fit through thin metal cage mesh. Even if the bolt was 1/2 as long it would fit any manufacture cage I've ever seen. Having something stick 2 -3 inches out the front of a animal carrier is just dangerous.I bought this because I was scheduled to travel and was told at the last minute that my soft sided cat carrier wasn't going to work and I needed to use a hard carrier and it needed to have a food dish and water bottle attached. I will look for something better to replace this with.

Doesnt secure well on crates with wide bars. Our dog knocks them down every time and spills food and water everywhere. Total bummer. Good news is the quality is good. Our dog isn't chewing them to bits or messing up the fastener.

Very well made and sturdy. There are two oblong strips that are part of the clamp system, so you can use them as shown in the picture or you can make them into a cross shape if you need extra support, which I did on the wire mesh of my rabbit hutch. The bowl seats securely in the ring but is also easy to remove. A well thought out, well made product. Like the old days.

So, these were the third set of metal bowls I have purchased and fifth overall. The first two sets were plastic.These will also be the last set because they are finally worth sticking with.The plastic bowls didn't work because one of my dogs is a butt head and continually chewed on the bowls.The first set of metal bowls didn't work because the sides were too angled. I didn't know that would be a big deal but it is. Any time I moved crate to which it was mounted, the water would spill out. The second set was better in that regard but the mounting system was too difficult to use so water would spill when I tried to remount after fill.These bowls have mostly upright sides so they don't spill when I move the crates. They also slip in and out of their mounts easy by hand yet stay in place when not being lifted.I like these bowls.

I bought the medium size for my small Holland Lop. I was worried it would be too big, but it turned out it was just the right size. My rabbit had suddenly decided that he wanted to keep making puddles with his drip bottle so we switched to a bowl to make him happy. Originally we had a bowl on the floor of his cage but he kept tossing things into it- this bowl seems to have solved the issue finally. He seems to like using it and doesn't throw it around. It's easy to change- just pop the bowl out of the metal loop and you're good to go. Would totally buy again.

Ordered an XL size. As others have said the stainless steel bowl is super thin. Mine came with several dents which I managed to push out with my fingers (yes, that's how thin it is!). The ring is held to the clamp by a single spot weld. This isn't going to last long on an heavy filled XL bowl. Fortunately I have a welder for when the spot weld breaks which it surely will in time.

Only giving a 1 cause I have to put a star i already have medium bowls for my dog but wanted the to attach to crate so ordered a medium and what I received was DEFINATLY not a medium

Benutzen es für unsere Hasen im Aussengehege für Heu , da sie mit der Heuraufe Schwierigkeiten haben.Ist groß genug dafür.Haben von der selben Firma auch eine kleinere für Frischfutter.Sind leicht zu reinigen u.Hasis fressen gerne raus

fragile...le cerceau a cassé des la 1ere semaine

J'ai acheté ce support avec gamelle en diamètre 11 cm pour la grande cage de mon petit teckel. Le système de maintien est très bien conçu. Parfait. La gamelle de vole plus quand il saute dans sa cage quand je rentre.
