Decimator II Noise Reduction Pedal

I’m really liking my pedal. Pretty happy about it. Can’t wait to get other complimenting pedals for my gear.

This was a great purchase and actually fixed a variety of issues showing up in my pedal board, amp and guitar design. When used properly it filters noise by capping the output but it is possible to configure it non-standard and create some pretty extraordinary and interesting sounds to record. Thanks!

Seemed to act as a volume control. That’s it. No noise reduction noticed. Returned

works as described...have to be a bit careful not to "over-reduce" your signal as it WILL clip your desired stuff as well...beyond that easy to use, built to last, good price.

Since I don't have grounded electrical outlets, my amps tend to give off a lot of hum when guitar strings/pickups aren't being muted or strummed. The ISP Decimator II does, at a certain db level, remove the loud hum. However, now I get a slight white noise static sound between notes, even when the strings are muted. Kind of like those tinnitus "cure" devices that replace your high pitch tone for white noise to mask it. All in all, I'm hoping the noise gate on my DAW will remove the hiss. Otherwise, the decimator II is kind of useless.

Yes. It is handy for cutting down on guitar noise.

Works perfectly with my EVH 5150iii amp. No more buzz on the heavy gain channels. A must for all tube amps.
