Great for overblow and blues
Bought this Harmo Torpedo as I’m starting to overblow and couldn’t find any model manually setup for it in this price rangeThe overblow setup is fabulous and I was able to get all overblows 4 5 and 6 more easily than on my Hohner CrossoverI even managed to get my first overdraw ever on hole 7 ! This harmonica is also much louder than any other blues harp I ownNot sure if it’s recommended for beginners as I had to slightly adjust 2 reeds that were set too low for my taste (most likely great for jazz players but not to push it as hard as I do). It was very straight forward to disassemble.. Incredible value for the money ! Comes with a nice zip pouch and cloth

Sweet and solid
I’m a novice player, but an avid collector. This one is an incredibly soft and comfortable feel, with tons of volume. Straight out of the box, smooth bends and overblows all the way up. Good intonations. Quick and responsive. This is my first Harmo. Certainly won’t be my last.

Way too expensive for what it is
To sum it up, decent harp, not good set up, way too much money. This is basically an easttop harmonica with some wax around the reeds. Maybe some work on the gapping, but I have gotten easier overblows from some Eastop harmonicas out of the box. As it is basically an Easttop, and Easttop harmonicas are pretty good , the quality of the build is quite decent, but the set up was not worth the extra $80. In fact, in some ways it was harder to play and I needed to do more work on it than an Easttop to get it over blowing as the wax was caked on to the extent many holes would not sound, so I had get in there and clean it up. Maybe I got one of the bad ones. If you don't mind spending about $85-$100 on a harmonica, I'd get a Honer Crossover. They often need no additional work (maybe a little gapping) to overblow with decent technique and it doesn't feel like French kissing one of those old tanka truck toys with all those sharp edges when you play it, like it does when you buy the cheaper Honer Marine Band.

This is a very fine instrument
This Harmo Torpedo Harmonica key of C is a high quality harmonica that states it is set up for easy overblows. I can over blow holes 4,5 and 6 very easy, however, I cannot overblow holes 1,2, and 3 at all. Also overdraws are difficult to achieve. This is still a very good harmonica. But I find I can overblow on Special 20s, Golden Melodys, and Suzuki Manjis straight out of the box also. But the overblow on hole 6 on the Harmo Torpedo Harmonica is super easy. This is an excellent harp. Also it is a very powerful harmonica. It is one of the loudest harps I have ever played.

The Best harmonica I have ever owned
I have been playing the Harmo Torpedo diatonic harmonica in several keys for 2 years, the quality is steady from one key to another and overtimeIt’s a pleasure to play mostly because this harmonica has : Extremely responsive reeds (trigger notes much faster) Easy, efficient and clear bends Much better, more easily triggered overblows than on other models Very Loud and Powerful

Not Well Tuned
I'm really a guitarist that plays bass too. I recently got into the blues in a big way and wanted to diversify the intruments on recordings. I bought a Suzuki EZR in G, before this, and wanted something in C. In my online search, the Harmo Torpedo came up with good reviews. Quality was the driver in the purchase and it seems well made. The Torpedo is also a lot louder than the Suzuki. There are two problems with it though...1. The draw note on hole 3 should be B but it's D.2. The draw note on hole 7 should be B but it's A.So I have a C Harmonica without a B note

Bending is very easy and if you can already manage the overblows you ...
This harp has a very powerful sound. Bending is very easy and if you can already manage the overblows you will be able to get them strait out of the box, without any risk for your harp because you won't have to set up the reeds.Really cheap for such a sharp setup.

Excellent sound and response right out of the box
Great harp so far. Responsive, good tone, projects, easy to play. A joy to play actually, I should say. Probably the most responsive and robust harmonica out of the box I've ever played. Looks great, too. And who wouldn't want a harp called "(the) Torpedo"?

Harmo’s Torpedo overpriced
Harmo-Torpedo is well overpriced! After 40yrs of playing I know a good harmonica after its blown-in(gently trained), and this is no match for the other three makes I use (which in review laws, sorry-I cannot name).
