Gifted these to two of my friends and they loved them! Considering getting one for myself.

They're exactly as described and shown. Base on other reviews, yes the handle is a bit smaller than a standard mug, but it works for me. If your fingers do not fit hold it backwards. With the double wall the heat from your hand will not affect the beverage in the mug. If you read the instructions that come with the glasses, yes they are not dishwasher safe, however the instructions state why and it makes perfect since. There are many items you cannot put in the dishwasher without damaging them, say cast iron or good china. No big deal as far as I'm concerned. And these things are GREAT. Beverages stay ice cold, (with ice or no ice they work) no sweat on the outside, and they're attractive. As far as the thickness of the glass itself, they are a little thinner than a standard mug and much thinner than the old A&W Root Beer mugs, if you remember those. But they are quality! I'm planning in the future to purchase the Beer Glasses, and the set of 4 Pilsner glasses as well. I'm pretty darn sure you're gonna love em.

Actually, I don't drink beer. I purchased this beer stein because I have started drinking Hydrogen water since it promotes good health. I wanted to buy myself a "special glass" to motivate myself to drink this water once per day. Hydrogen water does not taste that great! If you have an insulated glass like this one you can put the glass into the freezer to get it cold. With hydrogen water you cannot use ice cubes. So you remove the glass from the freezer, put drinking water into this glass, drop in a gray H2 pill and you can watch it dissolve into bubbles that rise to the top. It is fun to watch it fizzling. The good part about this glass is that you can have a cold drink without ice cubes and also the glass will not sweat. The downside is that for me the glass is not comfortable to hold by the handle. I ignore the handle and hold mine in the middle of the glass which will not warm up the water or beverage. These glasses are very attractive and come in a beautiful box. However, for me they are not comfortable to hold by the handle. This is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.

While I love this and there other products, I have already broken two of the four that I purchased. I was surprised at how cold it maintains the temperature of whatever drink you pour into it.

I really like them. I was looking for an alternative to the plastic half-filled type of mug. While I agree with other reviewers that they are delicate, I believe that if they are handled with reasonable care, they should last forever. I use mine mainly for smoothies. One person said a spoon broke theirs, they must have been roughhousing a bit, I scoop my smoothie to the bottom every time, no damage yet. But I realize it *is* delicate glass, so I don't try to get aggressive either.Definite 1 star downgrade for making a handle you can only fit 3 fingers into. C'mon, folks, you blurb about the research spent on your products but you make a 3-finger-handled beer mug??? Somebody didn't think that one through. ;-)

I use these as coffee mugs. I'm concerned that the bottom seal will not survive the dishwasher. The double wall acts as a heat insulator which I like.

Beer tastes best from a vessel of glass with a handle. The eye appealing double walled design is striking. The glass has a good grid and the beer remains cooler for a longer time. Because of its light weight, you have to handle it withcare to avoid breakage. I recommend this glass without reservation. Drinking beer from this glass is one of life's pleasurable experiences. Second Borosilicate glass I have bought from Amazon, first was thin and fragile, this mug is way thicker at lip and a bit better at bottom. As another review mentioned well packed for shipping, arrived intact and unbroken. Right now only problem is hand hold is so thin I'm afraid it might break (maybe just paranoia), once I get used to using 2 hands to drink. As all double wall mugs, keeps liquid colder longer. Always best for beer, cold to last drop, will update if I have any problems. Hopefully it lasts longer than my last Borosilicate glass mug.
