Good metal surface, will not rush and will last long.

Purchased to replace the 26 year-old bright brass Schlage handleset that was pretty weathered and coating looked like crackle glass. We have been renovating our home and this was one thing that really made our door look sad. I will say that this handleset is not as heavy as the one we replaced as it feels lighter. You can also feel it when you turn the door knob or the flick the lock. Of course, nothing is manufactured the same anymore. The Satin nickel finish is very nice and matched the handle on the storm door. It looks great and has updated our door that now looks happy again.

The lockset is well made and high quality. The parts are metal and fairly beefy. All the components fit together well and operate smoothly.The style and finish are attractive.The installation was straightforward. Of course preparing a door for any lock requires some time and care. Aside from that, installation of the lock proceeded quickly without any issue. All needed parts are included.We’ve always been impressed with Schlage quality.Recommended. Would buy again (and have done).

Recently changed out doorbell cover to pewter and needed to change out front door handle and lock. Color is pewter That combination has really freshens up the front porch. We are in major refurbish of our home, we lived in for 22+ years Don't be front door blind if you have an older house. . This door lock set is really attractive on our Cape Cod style house And do hire a local locksmith to install if not experienced. Modern door knobs are a bit more complex.
