What do you want for $9.99?
I have a 2003 Lexus LX470 with 2 broken key fobs. First of all, I think Lexus had a design flaw in their keyless fobs. They should last a lot longer than what mine did but I guess you have to expect the plastic to wear out after repeated use. I took in my Lexus to have the air conditioning system overhauled and when they saw that I had my key fob duct taped together, they gave me a new one which only lasted 3 years. When I read all the reviews before buying this one, I was a little skeptical but if it didn't work, I was only out $10 so I thought I would give it a try. I didn't have anything to lose since I had 2 keys that I couldn't use without the case and I was not about to pay the Lexus dealer $400 for new key fob.The key fob arrived 2 days after I ordered it and I had it together in no time. My old key had broken out of the case so I didn't have to try and get the key apart from the old case. The only problem I had in assembling the key and case was the screw. It seemed the screw did not fit the hole cleanly and could not get it tight or straight with the screw driver provided. I used one of the screws from my old case and it fit the hole so I used it instead. I tried the newly replaced key fob and key and the car started up fine. I noticed the case was not air tight so I put a rubber band around the whole case so that there was no chance it could come apart when I turned it.As another reviewer noted, the buttons are little recessed in the holes but they still work. I could place something under the battery to raise it a little but I'm not going to bother with it because it may cause other issues.I'm thinking about ordering a second case for my spare key but I will wait and use the one I have for a while to make sure it holds up.Those reviewers who had a problem with broken cases must have gotten a weak case or just bad luck. I would recommend this case to other Lexus owners if their case breaks. It's a lot cheaper way to go.

Excellent replacement. Saved me hundreds of dollars.
Keep your old screw. The new screw that came with it was too small so I had to use the old screw. Otherwise, this is an excellent replacement that allows you to use your existing key. I had to use a small pair of pliers to strip the old plastic away from the metal key. The new plastic fits very snug and leaves a very small gap when you screw the back and front together but I'm ok with that. Very happy with this purchase. Saved me hundreds of dollars the dealer charges for a new or replacement key.

Not designed well
After looking over other reviews, I took a chance and ordered this replacement key cover for my Lexus IS300 because the original one cracked and started falling apart. I really should have listened to the concerns of other buyers, as this product is not designed well.Visually it looks good, but that is it.The key case is difficult to install and the covers will not close 100%. I had to manually shave and sand down parts of the plastic casing to get my original key to fit, but no matter what I try the case itself always has a small gap towards the bottom. I probably spent maybe 30-40 minutes working on the issue before giving up. Small gap might not sound like a big issue (this was mentioned by other reviewers), but this gap will cause significant depression on the the panic button on the key fob. This makes it difficult to press the panic/lock button, and not aesthetically pleasing.I do not recommend this product at all, and I suggest looking for other alternatives. You will be wasting your money buying this product.

Money Saver
The plastic case to my wife's Lexus cracked, and buying another key is expensive. I looked at this case on Amazon and decided to give it a try. I have to admit I was skeptical, but decided to try it anyway. There were no instructions, but I watched the video and it could not have been easier. The only challenge I had was due to my trying to fix the key with superglue, which by the way, did not work so do not try it. Just order this replacement and in 15 minutes you will have a new key!
