Q: How well does it drive on carpet?? Does it struggle?

Not brilliant on carpet I guess it really depends on the thickness of the pile. But won't go on quite thick carpet. Much better on hard floors.

Q: do the front and back lights work?

Ours didn’t get that far. We could not even fit the batteries in the car due to compact space.
