Classic Outdoors Folding Lock Mushroom Knife Fungus Truffles Harvest Hunting Sharp Knives with Neoprene Pouch

This knife is East to handle and made well. The curved handle is smooth and highly polished. It may be made for harvesting mushrooms but it’s also great for picking asparagus, green beans, and cutting lettuce and cabbage. I liked it so much, I got one for my sister who actually forages for mushrooms.

First of all, the wood grain of the knife, is lovely to behold. The blade locks well, and is sharp. The little brush on the back was a little bent from the shipping, but its function was not compromised. The neoprene storage sleeve make it easier to keep track of your knife, while hunting Whiley Morels, and slaying Oyster Mushrooms. I first bought just one, and I bought a different mushroom knife that looked nice when I ordered it, but the other knife fell very short of the mark, and I returned it. (returns are a breeze, now!). I now have 4 sets of these lovely knives, so we can take guests out into the woods, and return with a great bounty!

Not sure what some folks are looking for in a mushroom knife...this one arrived with a storage/carrying case, a beautiful, smooth handle, and a sharp blade--all for WAY less than the Opinel one that I was looking at where you have to buy the case and the knife separately. There are a couple of rough edges where the handle is bolted together, but considering the overall quality and how much more it would cost to try a competing brand, it will certainly work as a stocking stuffer for someone who doesn't have a mushroom knife yet. In fact, I think she will be very pleased. :) No comment on the Opinel knife because I'm not going to spend money on it to find out if "we" bond the way another reviewer did with one of them.

First off, im a knife guy, so im very picky about knives...but this is pretty good. I got it for my Fiancée cause she loves Morel hunting. The knife locks up very tight, no play in the blade at all, which i was surprised by, and it fits nice in your hand. The only reason i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is beacuse it wasnt nearly as sharp as i expected, and sharpening a curved blade is not the easiest. But for the price, its a great knife and even with it not being as sharp as i hoped, it had no issue cutting a mushroom stem at all. Highly recommended for mushroom hunting. The brush seems ok, I rubbed it in my palm pretty hard for about a minute and only 1 bristle fell out, and the case is very nice.

After reading reviews saying it had a dull blade and was difficult to sharpen, I was a little skeptical about ordering this knife. But I needed a knife QUICK as we were attending a mushroom hunt and wow, I am glad I did! They must have listened to past reviews and my knife arrived with a SHARP blade! Was easy to open & close and I love the ingrained look of the handle. A pleasure to use! The case/holder it comes with is sturdy and kept my knife handy & secure all day ~ 9 hour hike through 2 state parks! The only critique I have is that the knife holder bends the brush bristles to the side a bit. However, I am still glad I ordered mine!

Gave this to a friend for cutting mushrooms. Works well after over a year no complaints.

Before ordering, I’d read several reviews saying that the blade wasn’t sharp. The manufacturer must have taken those to heart. Mine was literally sharp enough to shave with, at least arm hair. The whole knife feels sturdy and well-made. The bristles were very slightly smooshed by the pouch, but they still stick pretty much straight out. I’m very pleased with it.

Beautiful knife. Quality and locking blade. Curved blade for easy use. Handy to have the brush included on the knife. This one comes with a neoprene belt holder.
