Really tasty
Made it easy to cook paella. You do have to cook it on high heat outside to boil off the liquid but follow the directions on the box and it’s so easy and tasty

A smashing success
Okay, we may be few but we're unanimous!I began a cooking challenge this year to cook a never-before tried recipe (of something I enjoy eating, 'natch) each month. Over the course of the months, I've purchased many things I've never owned in my kitchen. New cooking tools and new cooking ingredients.Like this Aneto Seafood Paella cooking base. The recipe I used swore by this stuff and, after successfully completing (and devouring some of) the seafood paella, count me as a big fan.The flavor is rich and cooks nicely into the rice. Combined with the actual shellfish flavors, the dish is a smashing success. Thank goodness Amazon had this available when I could not find it locally!

great broth to add to paella -- and other dishes too.
I've been making paella on my grill for years -- I've used lots of different recipes and tried all kinds of variations of ingredients. I had never considered using this broth until a friend had told me about it. And I have to say -- WOW. What a great choice. while you can always create your own broth by boiling shells, seafood and spices, this broth is just better. I was blown away with the depth of flavor and the richness of the broth. It will absolutely become a staple in my cupboard for paella and other dishes.

product is all it says it is... Results excel.
using aneto base facilitates the paella process especially when using the recipe guidance on the box. Note that several usually required recipe items can be omitted, saving time, hassle, and some costs.

Outstanding !
I’m not sure if I’m paying too much for this product but since I can’t get it in my local stores it is an absolute bargain. The seller I’ve got it from on Amazon is outstanding knows how to pack the product and is delivered with care. The base for the Pella has a taste like no other I’ve been making paella for at least the past five years and have use this often is the only thing I’ll go to even after I’ve made my own. Will definitely buy again and again and will definitely search out this particular seller.

Came damaged but non refundable
So disappointed with the seller. This product is expensive buy we decided to try it because we heard it was good. Unfortunately, the carton of broth came damaged and was leaking its contents in the packaging. Amazon doesn’t stand by what they sell on their site. There is no way to return the damaged product or get a refund. Very disappointed!

Adequate if you're in a really tight pinch
Being a paella-addict and fixing it up from scratch quite often, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Resisting the very strong urge to add other (for me) essential ingredients to Aneto's broth, I followed the cooking instructions to the letter. I used my 13" diameter, Teflon-lined, heavy-bottom frying pan; this gave me the correct depth of rice for the 1-1/4 cups called for in the recipe. (In spite of using a Teflon pan, I still end up with very tasty socarrat , and the pan's thick bottom distributes heat much better than a typical paella pan which itself ideally requires a large burner to ensure even cooking of the rice). I used Calasparra rice, but risotto would have worked just as well. My cooking time was ~5 minutes longer than what was recommended. The result was, at best, okay (definitely no where near spectacular) as far as taste and texture, but if I really had to do it all over again, I'd add 1/3 cup of dry white wine, 1 ounce of lemon juice, and 1 ounce of Pernod to the broth (to effectively make up for the very weak showing of the fennel in the Aneto broth), 1 teaspoon of minced garlic (fried in with the rice), and a small pinch of saffron (to add what the broth ostensibly includes). Well, that's my review. Honestly, paella is incredibly simple to prepare and cook, and if one properly prepares their own broth, the reward would be intense flavor, heady aroma, and more money left in your pocket. That, and good round short-grain rice, a thin layer of rice in the pan, and even heat distribution can get you to Heaven. Buena suerte!

Buy this for paella worth making at home
Holy smokes, I'm so glad I discovered this paella broth. It is DEEEELICIOUS. It's so good that for the days after that I was eating my homemade paella leftovers made with this broth, I kept shaking my head because it was so darn good. My husband said I clapped my hands with every meal (aha, embarrassing) because it was that good. To be fair, I haven't followed the recipe on the box. I use this in place of stock in a traditional paella recipe. Be sure to add extra saffron for extra added scrumptiousness. My favorite seafood to add are shrimp, langoustine, clams, and mussels. You mustn't forget the Spanish chorizo- it really adds a great spicy/tangy kick with every bite. My husband says we're cheating by using this paella broth but I don't care- haha, it's so good!!!!
