In God's Hands

One of the best surfing movies ever. Especially love the narration. This is not your average surfing movie. It's a real movie with plot, believable characters and general audience appeal. I highly recommend this movie!

GREAT SURF MOVIE

This was one of my absolute favorite movies back in the day when this first came out. I had completely forgotten about it for years until I saw a clip of it online, then found it on Prime.Again, a little corny now and definitely not a big 21st century bombastic production like it would be if it were made these days. Enjoy this for what it is, an awesome piece of 90's movie history.This has awesome surfing, adventure, danger, and general gnarliness all around. You won't be disappointed!

I first got this back when it first came out, me x girlfriend decided she needed it more than me, so I had to buy another one, been a while since I'd seen it, kind of seems like this one has a few more scenes, any way, it's a really good movie with guys that really surf-not some goofy actors pretending...that never works. it is not your typical " dude on hard times conquers monster waves to win the cheerleader"...this is about "old timers and younger guys debating the use of jet skis" to get into waves too big to paddle into. and a great story of 3 friends.

This video is promoted as a Youth friendly movie about surfing but it is also about ideology. When I first watched it over ten years ago I was struck by its themes and had to have a copy, so I bought one used from my local blockbuster. I was despondant about ever getting a copy on DVD and lo and behold it was right here on Amazon all along. I am also 37 so the fact that I still find value in this movie says something about the background themes ability to inspire people who do not have an active role in surfing as a sport. The main characters are realistic and believable and the perspective of the narration is also poignant and brings the ideology of surfing as a sport into focus. The story line is realistic and as someone who has lived on the coast in a tourist based economy, very grounded and real.

I liked it as it was one of the first pictures I saw on HD the scenarios were great the history is a little of the same theme for surfers, but the inspired me because when you like to do something and you enjoy it you just try to be the best and look for perfection and roam around the world for the perfect wave...

I would say that this is the most awesome surfing film made, the footage is first class. I found this film to be extremely spiritual; it takes you deep into your own “being” and asks questions to who you really are. It is a journey of self-discovery and ultimately, self-awareness, which gives you a deeper and liberated view of life. It is a pursuit of happiness, “Eudaimonia”.
