Love this mat. It's easy to clean, easy to stow and easy to carry. The carrying strap is adjustable so you can fling it over the bod ass a cross-carry while you schlep the kid and the ten thousand items you're taking on the road with you. It is padded and comfortable. One wide adult, an average width adult and a 6 month old were able to lie shoulder-to-shoulder on the this mat, though the adult legs dangled off the end. It's perfect for picnics our outings, on grass, sand... whatever. I love everything about this, though I'd like to see it a bit longer. Excellent product, and cute, too (although let's face it, the ubiquitous "gray and white chevron" is getting a little old... amirite?).

I bought 2 of these as new baby presents as something a little different from the usual. They will be useful for the mothers for a number of years. They are great at the beach, the backyard, for picnics - any place you want to lay the baby down, or want to sit with a toddler or two. They shake clean of sand and dirt, and can be hosed off. They fold up small and can be kept in the car or the stroller. I bought one when my first granddaughter was born and I am still using it with her at 6 -- as well as my 4 other grandchildren. I find these blankets incredibly useful!

This "blanket" is great! I was looking for something that would be easy to clean and pack up, and this fits the bill. The material is easy to clean, a quick wipe down is all it needs. After using it a few times, I can happily report that it is easy to fold and zip up again. I have not used the cooler pocket. It easily fits in the bottom of a stroller or in a backpack. I would not suggest packing this in a purse-type diaper bag though, as it can be a bit bulky for that.

We've gotten lots of compliments on this blanket! The material and quality is great. It's a decent size. Fits our toddler and one parent comfortably at the beach, or for picnic-style, we can all fit on it sitting -- but it's snug. It does the trick, though. I bought this over the JJ Cole one because of reviews stating that the plastic gave off a chemical smell and was not breathable at all. I'm glad I made the purchase overall. We don't really use the pouch much, since we usually have a separate cooler or tote for food (and I can't see this really keeping something cold) -- but it's good for cell phones and small, flat electronics while at the beach. I took off one star because it's kind of a pain to fold and zip closed after the first couple of uses. It takes some patience, and I don't always have the time to bother with it when dealing with packing up a toddler, beach chairs, etc. The zipper could definitely be a little more forgiving. Otherwise, great product and very handy overall.

I received The wrong product. I bought a Skip Hop product (blanket) and I received a JJ COLE product (blanket), I do not even know where it comes from. I had a special reason to choose Skip hop. Veeeeeery unhappy.

I ordered this when planning a picnic for my husband over Valentine's Day weekend. I really like the chevron pattern and neutral colors, and it is easy to pack up. However, while the material is waterproof, it's not soft or comfortable, and it reminds me of heavy duty tarp that crackles whenever I shift around on it. Plus, the size is too small for two adults to lay out on. I had also bought the 5x7' JJ Cole blanket at the same time, and I like that much more because the material's a lot softer and the larger size is great. So I've decided to return the Skip Hop one.

I like the product in general. Bag is very compact and useful, and blanket folds well and is a nice material. Unfortunately, I can only give it three stars because my bag has already begun to unravel and a hole is forming near the zipper. I might expect this of a lesser quality item at a cheaper price point, but for 30+ bucks this should hold up to normal use - as I have actually only used the bag a handful of times and it has never been with heavy items.

We LOVE this. We use it all the time - we just keep it in the back of the car and end up using it even when we weren't planning on it (we used it all summer at our local Concert's-in-the Park). It's a good size (3 or 4 adults plus baby), neat looking, easy to clean and totally waterproof (I know that other picnic blankets just "repel" water, but feel damp where your rump is after a little while - not this one). I suppose I understand what others say about being a bit slippery, but to me that's a small price to pay for being easy to clean. This does everything I wanted it to for a picnic blanket.
