Easy to use but assembly took some time
There was no extra hardware, so I had to find my own screw when I was short one. The self driving screws really worked best when I predrilled a small hole first. Plan on spending some time assembling the lifter and putting in all the screws. Unit works as advertised. Curious to see if the plastic holds up better than our old painted metal. The hot tub looks nice and tidy now.

Easy to use. Works well
It works great so far. The installation was a bit confusing. The diagram and instructions didn't quite match specifically for the different heights but once it was set up it, its easy to lift the cover for one person. It feels flimsy but work good. Its been 2 months.

Good Product
Pleased with this cover lifter so far. Instructions are a bit on the light detail side, so I recommend reading through it and put it together before drilling and attaching.

Missing parts, instructions wrong, poor design
First, like others said, it was missing parts, luckily I was able to get by without. Also as others mentioned, the bolt was designed to small. You have to ditch one of the washers in order for the locking nut to work. Instructions were terrible, in the wrong order, and missing some information.

Incomplete instructions
Haven’t even finished installing, mostly because the instructions are incomplete and missing information. At no time do they say when to use the 4 #10 1-3/4” mounting screws. They tell you to mount the brackets before you’ve attached the pivot arms, which can’t be done so you have to take the mounting bracket back off, bolt it on using the bushings, a socket driver and crescent wrench, and then reattach the mounting bracket (important note: they claim the only additional tools needed are a drill, phillips driver bit and a tape measure).Other tools needed: crescent wrench, ratchet and socket, 1/16” drill bit so you don’t split the wood, and a small level to make the brackets level when mounting. Can’t wait to get done, but I’m only afraid it will break as so many others have commented.UPDATE: if you’re handy, it’s not so bad. I have to believe other peoples’ are breaking because they are jacking it up from the side instead of behind the bar in the middle.
