Is the container lightweight?

The container is lightweight. I carried it in a large purse on the airplane traveling from Florida to Long Island. It worked out well in spite of a difficult trip emotionally.

Have a plastic urn for my husband's ashes. How do i.open it to scatter ashes?

This urn has a closing flap on top that needs to be opened first. Once the small protective flap is opened, you need to pull the top lid up. The lid is closed with plastic catches so it will take a little strength to open it. I hope this helps. Lisa

Can this urn be successfully buried within a Cemetary plot in the ground? What are any considerations??

Our funeral home director said that my mother's cremains will be placed in a marble urn then in a plastic vault. It only needs to be buried at least 3 feet down. Yes, you need to check with the funeral director.

Are these shipping boxes available in a larger size? the cremains are in a box measuring 4 1/2"d x 6 1/2"w x 8 1/2 h. need a shipping box.
