Works but leaking
Works - I was able to dial water pressure to 60psi but it’s leaking on both ends. Not sure if my unit has funky threads or what, I tested multiple MNPT adapters on it and other brass fittings and I can’t get the adapters to screw in very far on this valve. Going to get some pipe sealant liquid and also some grey plumbers tape and try again.. I’m sure that’ll work. Expect leaks and plan ahead to seal it up right - otherwise, it certainly regulates the pressure. I have a seperate gauge immediately past the regulator that I used to help dial it in.

It works fine but change the picture. It scared me when it wasn’t the same images. I was thinking I got the wrong items and was about to return it.

Not intended for drinking water
If you read their web page or the Amazon page it mentions ok where code allows iron body valves. But, on the bottom of the box, in small print it says "This produce is not intended to convey or dispense water for human consumption through drinking or cooking." Kind of a long way to say it's not for drinking water, which is different from their web page and listing. How much you worry about cast iron in your water system is up to you (and your building inspector). Be sure to use dielectric junctions to any copper pipe.Excellent for drip systems and other irrigation use.Other than that, it works well.

using the valve for a new drip system. No ...
using the valve for a new drip system. No problem fitting the PVC fittings into the valve and did blow the emmiters apart when I charged the lines.

Not for drinking water!
I saw the beautiful brass color, known manufacturer and I thought "GREAT!"On anything but a closed system, cast iron rusts.Unless you're deficient in iron, you don't want this in your water system.

Perfect for poultry watering system
I purchased this for regulating the water pressure for my chicken watering system. I have 65 PSI at my water source. I installed the Cash Acme 20658-0005 and adjusted it down to 3 PSI. It works perfectly. It's stable and will last forever. Don't bother with those cheap plastic water pressure regulators; this is the way to go.
