Where in your car do you place it? Do you have to hang it from your rear view mirror, or can you put it somewhere else?

I have used it on the front dash and the rear area behind the back seat. I should note that I've destroyed 2 of these because, during the heating process, after absorbing enough moisture to change color to pink, the outer cloth type material melts. I only do it for 2 minutes at a time but need to repeat 2 or 3 times to get rid of the moisture but the cloth melts and the unit is ruined.

Can it be renewed in an oven?

The recommendation that the product gives is only to reset with a micro wave oven. A regular oven may burn the product up

Has anyone ever used these bags when storing an auto for winter? results?

I use one exclusively for just that in my 2001 Ford F-250. I use the truck for hauling a camper and boat during the spring, summer and early fall but mainly mothball the truck during the winter months. I notice a few years ago that mold/moisture began to develop inside the cab during the winter, so I bought one of the bags. I place the bag into a small plastic tray and just leave it inside the truck. About once a month, I take the bag out and put it into the microwave to dry out and recharge the crystals and then place it back into the truck. I really like how it keeps the truck cab dry and fresher smelling as it keeps the mold from forming and doesn't have the "musty" odor associated with mold. The bag is reusable as long as you take care of it and is inside my truck as I write. For me, it is worth the price.
