Great value, good initial quality, some worthwhile notes
This is an amazing value and pretty well made below are some comments;GoodIts good quality material and design. Looks good, operates smoothly, pulls some pretty heavy drapes 143", does expand to 144" as stated, shipped and arrived fast and i am in Hawaii which ussualy is 5 to 7 days for Prime, remote works as expecte and the cost is so low. It has an auto stop function when reaching max open or closed. It expands by just pulling one side out (has some internal pully aystem that allows the cable to expand). The power cord is long enough to reach the floor (mine was 95" ceiling to floor) and over to an outlet a couple feet away no problem, the 4 support brackets seem to be enough to hold it up at 144" full expansion with curtains, the compressed curtain is compact since the motorized slider keeps it locked when fully retracted,BadIt is kinda loud and slow, but it gets the job done. When it expands it scratches the outer now visable part of the inside sleeve as it becomes exposed (or it scrathed when assembly took place) and is unsightly, no directions on expansion so it was nerve racking to just pull it apart, there does not seem to be enough rollers in the track to connect all th curtain pins at 144" (i came up four short and dont see how you can add anymore).OtherYou can set it up to open left or right but it is kinda set up to open to the right with the motor on the right. Attaching to the wall is the primary set up but you need 2" or more above the top of the track to be able to slide the suspension arms over the wall mounting plates, setting the reciever correctly will help in remote range, there is no manual operation so dont lose or break the remote, two suspension arms are free to place anywhere and two are required to be attached to fixed places at either end of the track, it seems like they want you to use vertical blind slates (the attachments for blinds or curtains is more blind friendly, you can cover the track with curtains if you have newer adjustible curtain pins, the track is not bendable at all, i will post updates.

Easy Setup. Works great with Harmony. Noisy.
Originally I was sent the wrong item. I needed the side-open rod and they sent a center-open style. Amazon fixed their mistake and rushed shipped me a replacement. I purchased this motorized rod for my home theater, to separate the office lights from spilling onto my projector screen. This thing works great. It is IR which means you can setup a Harmony IR blaster with it and control it along with all of your other components.PROS: Easy setup and install. Great customer service. Also, the track carrier brings the curtains very tight to the wall.CONS: This thing is loud! I dont really mind since I usually activate the rod with voice command (alexa integrated with harmony) while in a different room, so it usually isnt something I even hear. Also, most of the components are plastic... not sure how long it will last. I probably would not recommend this product for a daily use / entire living room full of these.

Easy to install left or right
I bought two of these -- one to open right and one to the left, both 12 feet long. However, there aren't any instructions for configuring the rod for opening to the left (its default direction is right). You can't just flip the rod around and mount it for left-side opening because the traveler (the thing that drags the drape along the rod) has a slight "dog leg" to it that offsets its tracking from the center of the rod. I called Customer Service and was told that the rape wasn't really designed to be reconfigured for left-side opening, and they don't sell separate left/right versions of the rod. So, after a bit more largely unhelpful conversation with the agent, I decided to simply remove the traveler, flip it around to the other side, and reinstall it. Done! Works great.Noisy rod I didn't find them particularly noisy. They do make some noise, but it's dragging 12 feet of drape down the rod, so I'd expect a bit of sound. Certainly nothing objectionable.Overall, pretty easy to install, and they appear to be of very good quality.

Works great...sort of noisy
This rod is amazing in that it works without a problem even extended most all of the way. I have two gripes about it...1) It is noisy. It would be much better if your setting allows for a box top or valance over the rod. 2) the IR sensor seems to be very directional. It's like one of those old TVs that you have to aim carefully to get the channel to change. Other than that. I love it and I feel like it is worth the low price that a motorized rod would otherwise cost. It mounts on the wall just like any other rod would....quick and easy.

... item itself is of modest quality but is very easy to install and functions well
The item itself is of modest quality but is very easy to install and functions well. It is slow and noisy but does the job. The first unit shipped was missing some parts but was exchanged by Amazon immediately. Kudos to Amazon. Because I have a 20ft ceiling I attempted to extend the cord by cutting close to the motor to install a simple wire extension. DO NOT DO THIS! It affects the electronics within the motor resulting in a motor that will not turn off, and voids the warranty. I ordered an additional motor from BEME and the service was superb.

Make awful noises, cheap
Makes an awful sickly noise when opening or closing. Very cheap construction and motor. The curtain jerks sporadically because it is not designed to glide properly. The remote is very cheap and it didn't even come with batteries. The range and function of the remote isn't very good. It's not labeled for a side-opening curtain even though that's what I bought. You have to point it fairly directly at the sensor for it to work. Lastly the only motorized part is a bar holding the last 3 clips at the very end. The rest of the curtain is just dragged along, so the curtain is never spread out evenly when opened. Better off with just a plain manual curtain on rings that isn't so unpleasant to use.
