Play 4 classic stealth games in one!
In this awesome package you get a selection of two games!Mgs2: sons of libertyAndMgs3: snake eaterThe gameplay is very fun sneaking and shooting! Hideo kojima thinks of everything in these games! An example is making snake actually dizzy by rotating him round and round in mgs 3. Which can be quite useful if you are poisoned or want to distract a guard. This is gonna be outdated in a few months when the master collection releases. But I’d recommend this game for the vita if you want to play mgs 2 and 3 on the go and only have a ps vita

Snake, Snake...Snakeeeeeeee!! saves Vita for the summer
(metal Gear solid 3)OMG just look at the cover.....At first I was thinking meh another port for Sony's handheld but when I played it I was like wow this is really a great HD remake. The details are there and the voice over is still topnotch.Gameplay: Same as it was when it was on PS2. I kind of wish you could aim and walk but no. I soon got use to the controls are about 2 hours. Also I heard it was touch controls but from DEFAULT all there was is touch the screen to change weapons or for healing. I was expecting to be able to look around or aim via swiping the screen. One thing that bugs me is when you're running and close to a wall he likes to lay against it. So when you're tryin to run from enemies and have a tiny ounce of health left than it sucks that you just died because Snake laid against the wall when all you was trying to do was run around the corner. I guess after playing so many other games when you have to press a button to hide behind a wall you forget about this game's controls.Graphics: Topnotch. Snakes look all clean and detaily. It was hard to tell this as ever a ps2 game.Overall: it's what the Vita needed in the current state. This game can hold off until August. Plus you'll probably end up playing it again just to explore other areas or mess around with the enemies and collect trophies so yeah this is one of those games that last over 2 months that's not a cheap rpg(Disgaea).

the perfect port to a portable system
I had heard about metal gear before but i had never played the game. i bought the vita at launch and as soon as i heard the metal gear solid hd collection would be released for the vita , i was intrigued.you get metal gear 1 and 2 and all their original content. it sadly doesnt include peace walker but for $40 dollars, this is still a deal, and what a deal you get. both games carry beefy campaigns filled with extras, easter eggs and humor. the vita does well to render the graphics and with the oled screen this game looks and plays amazingly.there are touch screen commands added, some are unnecessary and easily ignored(like some lean and peak options) others help streamline the game (the equip menus are locked on touch commands but they are much simpler than the original controls and are welcomed). overall, you get your money's worth. this is a port of a re-released game that was released over a generation ago so there are some fundamental quirks (for example ; you aim with R1 and shoot with "square") but these in no way out weigh these terrific games.

Amazing games
Sadly, the PS Vita version does not include Peace Walker, but you can purchase it from the PS Store and map the second analog stick for an even more enjoyable experience than the PSP version I love so dearly. I remember playing these ground breaking expansive games on the PS2 back in the day and here they are in the palm of my hand. No, it isn't the visual marvel that is Killzone Mercenary or Uncharted Golden Abyss, but the graphics hold up for games that are over 15 years old. If you enjoy stealth games and espionage then you need to buy this game for your Vita. If you don't own a Vita this should be your que to go and buy one because it is an AMAZING console that was way before it's time.

Wow, what entertainment in such a small package as the PS Vita!
This has two of my favorite games ever! I remember when Metal Gear Solid 2 came out and everyone was shocked that you didn’t play as Snake but as Raiden. At first they hated it but after playing it it became a classic. Raiden is a great character! Almost on par with Snake although he is a little whiny but that gives him his charm. Such great games. Classics without a doubt. I’ve played these two games over and over. I have never done that except for Metroid and especially the ones on the Gameboy Advance. Do yourselves a real treat and pick these great classics up. I remember playing them on the big screen but I can’t believe how well the Vita brings these wonderful games to life and is played on such a small system! Love this package!

Horrible controls
man, i LOVED the ps2 version of these two games, but i can not say the same to the PS Vita version. the controls on this version are poorly done. i enjoyed pulling off headshots on the ps2/ps3 version but i cant enjoy aiming in this game because of how poorly it was created. great game, but be warned

portable HD metal gear?!
Perfect! no complaints here. Metal gear on the go is amazing, plus the addition of cross save is a great feature.
