Delicious.
It took a little while to come in, but was worth the wait. It’s a delicious and strong tea. It tastes like a refined Kenyan the tea is formed into small balls similar to an Assam. I find 1tsp per 8oz with a 4 minute steep to be good though a 3:30 steep would cut down on the bitterness if you prefer a lighter tea. Seems to be high in caffeine, but that’s a very subjective measure and there are no actual measurements. If you like their bagged tea and want something a bit more refined this is a good pick. Make sure you have a bag or tin to put the tea in. It came in 2 foil packages that are not resealable. Remember- tea is light sensitive. I hope you enjoy if you get it!

Excellent Tea!
Excellent tea! Although not graded, this looks like a BOP which is meant to be brewed strong and balanced with milk. If you want to drink tea without milk, then you want a whole leaf tea. I am Sri Lankan and we love our Ceylon tea, but this is just as amazing!

Expired product
The tea package I received was part its expired date. It had a "best before date of 01/07 2022 and "end" date of 01/07/2025. It was sold to me Feb. 26,2025 and an attempt was made to tear off that date label but it remained in the package.

Favorite Tea w/Recent Noticeable Changes
I've traveled all over the world, but this tea is my absolute favorite besides my beloved Darjeeling tea. However, there have been some issues the past 6 months w/the Kericho Gold. Now the package frequently arrives damaged, opened & way past the expiration date. Also, I've noticed a slight change in the tea leaves. They are ground up more than they used to be & the leaves swell up more which makes me wonder why! Also, I've noticed the strength of the tea is not as potent as it used to be. With this being said, I still consider this my favorite tea. However, I will continue to monitor these issues.

For those who like their black tea dark
This is definitely the strongest, darkest black tea I've ever had. If you want the closest you can get to coffee with black tea, this is the tea for you. It pairs very well with milk. My one note is that the tea is not in the leaf form like the picture shows. It's almost like it's been coarsely ground. I wouldn't call that a criticism, but I know there are some tea snobs who want to see those whole leaves.

This is absolutely the best tea ever!
This is absolutely the best black tea I have ever had! I picked up some in Kenya last year, and was pleased to find that I could purchase it on Amazon (albeit MUCH more expensive than buying it in Kenya). If you like full-bodied tea, bursting with flavor, this is the tea for you. Does not take very much at all to make a very strong cup of tea, so this package will last a LONG time. The package I purchased in Kenya was half the size, and lasted about 5 months. I was pleased to find the larger package sold by Amazon has two separate foil packages, so freshness is ensured. I did have to purchase special sieve-like tea infusers with extra tiny holes to steep this tea in, as it is extra fine. Here is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K73LVVC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
