There was another wire shorting out, and would pop this fuse. Solved the wire, fuse still holding up

Works just fine! A simple fix.

This kit replaces the blown thermal fuse in Whirlpool-made dishwashers. It also replaces the connectors to that blown fuse for unspecified reasons. Thus, some cutting and connecting into the existing wiring is required, but the directions are clear and Youtube vids are available. It is not difficult but a bit tedious, especially because the tie-wraps provided are a bit bulky. Installing this kit allowed me to resurrect my dead dishwasher for way less than a service call or a replacement dishwasher.

My dishwasher had stopped working completely. No lights, nothing. Opening up the control panel, I tested the thermal switch for continuity and sure enough, it was open, meaning it had tripped. This replacement did the trick, and at a lower cost than other options. The instructions on replacing the fuse that came with this item were super-clear as well. Why pay more?
