Perfect for someone with zero experience!
I had fairly low expectations with this drone, but since this is my first drone, and the price and reviews were decent, I figured I'd give it a try.Pros: After just 2 days of playing around, I'm thrilled with this little drone. It has been easy to learn, and a fun stater drone. The app to connect to the camera has been a little slow, but fun when hovering.Cons: like all small drones, the battery life is pretty low, usually 5ish minutes of flight time, and the batteries take about 80ish minutes to charge, so I definitely suggest investing in a few extra batteries! The one thing I'm not a huge fan of is the annoying noise the controller makes when you are running low on battery. I understand why it's there, but I do wish it was a bit quieter.Camera: The camera works, but definitely gets choppy when moving. You won't be racing with this camera, but it's still fun when hovering or very close to your phone.Overall: this is a affordable, fun, and easy to learn, starter drone. If you want more flight time, grab some extra batteries.

Just what I wanted as a first time droner.
Bought this unit for my 8 year old who asked for a drone for Christmas. I wanted a cheap, durable quad that flew with a controller similar to the nicer drones out there. As far as I can tell, this delivered just that as well as having a camera, albeit a pretty poor one.We flew this drone for a solid 2 weeks every day before a motor started sticking in one of the rotors and the unit was no longer flyable. I couldn't fault it: we had a large number of fairly epic crashes, from blasting full speed into a wall to falling nearly the height of our 8 foot ceilings fairly regularly.I ended up buying another just like it so we can use one for parts as we continue to batter the thing around. As expected, the camera is fairly useless but does prepare me (I think) for what might be possible with a higher-dollar drone. Once we get better at avoiding epic crashes.

Almost a great item
My daughter loved this little RC drone overall, but there were issues that a 10 YO didn't notice that I did.Pro's:1) The drone is fairly durable. It crashed into the house and windows and such as any novice drone pilot is going to do and it didn't negatively impact the flight from these bumps and dumps.2) The hover feature, while not perfect, worked pretty well, especially considering the price point.3) My daughter is 10 and she absolutely loved flying this drone, as long as it lasted.4) For the size and price point, the battery life is decent. 6-8 minutes is really short, but this is a starter drone for kids to play around with in the back yard, not something that is going to be used professionally, so while some may gripe about the flight time, by the time you drain the two batteries, the pilot is probably going to be ready to take a break.Cons:1) The 80 ft. range isn't that bad, but when the drone is out of range, it doesn't go into a neutral setting and descend to the ground. If you have it flying away from you and gaining altitude when it flies out of range, it is going to keep going away from you and keep going higher. You'd better hope you can run fast enough to get the remote back in range before it is gone. Luckily we had enough trees around the first couple of times this happened that the drone was recoverable.2) We were not able to get the drone to fully connect to our iPhone 7. It would connect, but we could not see anything through the camera or use the phone for any features. We did not put a lot of time into this so I may have been overlooking something, but I work in the IT field so I am not clueless in this arena.3) Because we could not fully utilize the phone interface, we were unable to trim the drone so it would hover in a single spot, so it was constantly listing off to one side at about 2 MPH. I found it easier to just rotate the drone about 180 degrees and let it fly back towards me than trying to pilot the drone. If the camera would have worked and linked with the phone fully, I would have given this 5 stars all day long. Others seem to have had better luck with synchronizing the phone or tablet, so don't take my review too harshly. It could have been a simple out of box failure or we were just missing something in the set up, but others didn't have this problem so I think this is the exception more than the norm. Since I can only rate based off of my personal experience, I rated at 3 stars, but if the drone would have sync'd, I'd give this 5 stars all day for $40.At the end of the day, I'd risk buying this again. If the connection issue was a fluke or simple user error, for about $40, this drone is fun to fly for me, and my 10 YO had a great deal of fun flying this little drone.

Perfect beginners drone
This was a gift for my son’s 10th birthday.I have been flying drones for a while and my son always wanted to try them. However the ones i owned were for advanced people and didn’t suit my son. That’s why i got this one because it is for kids.I was pleasantly surprised to find out how smooth it flew and with ease.I especially like the fact that it keeps its altitude which is one of the toughest thing to do with other acrobatic drones i own. There’s a lot to like about the done other than this. Two batteries that charge with micro pin charge cable is another great thing cuz i have so many lying around. The fact that it has an onboard camera and that you can control the drone with your phone are great features. However this being a beginners drone, the quality of those features aren’t that high.In conclusion my son is very happy with the gift. He is able to fly the drone by himself without too much difficulty.

Easy to fly out of the box
Speaking as a first time pilot, this has been a good drone to start with and train your piloting skills. Very easy to fly as it hovers in place quite well. So far I've only flown it indoors. The stabilization is good enough to fly through narrow corridors. The shrouded prop helps to keep the drone flying even after brushing against the wall. It is smaller and lighter than I expected - easily blown off course by indoor ceiling fan, but still controllable by a dummy pilot like myself. I think it will be quite challenging in the wind outdoors but I bought it mainly for some indoor fun. The camera works through the phone app, but quality is not great - so don't expect to take great pictures or videos with it. Also the battery life of about 7 minutes is quite short, and it does come with 2 batteries, which is enough to fly around my home a few times.
