The media could not be loaded. The bento is made of wood, with two compartments that can fit a traditional Japanese bento lunch, but it may be a bit small for western diets. This is NOT leakproof. The compartments have some depth to them. The bottom compartment does not have a lid, the top piece is notched to fit into place. The bento had a wooden smell that went away after a wash with warm soapy water. The divider does not fit snugly in the compartments, but it is suitable to keep ingredients apart as long as there is no sauce or liquid. It is more a special occasion bento instead of an everyday lunchbox. It is a very pretty piece. I am pleased with my purchase. Edit: a wooden fork and spoon were also included. Very nice and polished utensils. They are too pretty for me to want to use.

***Update***After two months, I accidentally dropped the bento box on floor and it broke. I contacted the seller. They immediately responded and sent me a replacement for free!! I highly recommend this seller!!! They are so amazing!!*****This bento box is so cute! Size is perfect. Easy to clean. Light weight but doesn’t feel cheap. It’s not air tight and is not suppose to keep food warm or cold. It’s also not microwaveable. Because it’s meant for a picnic box or a Japanese style bento that are served in room temperature. I use it for my daily Japanese bento Instagram page and I love it!

Albeit being my own fault for not reading the measurements, it is still extremely small. I can only fit, one small grapefruit, 5 blueberries and 4 grapes whilst using the t-divider. If using it without the divider you can fit 14 grapes of varying sizes.Seems Sturdy enough, I wont return since its snack sized but for adult meals, steer clear. Lesson learned.

This is a great wooden box if you know what you're looking for! It is not leak proof and you can't throw it in the dishwasher, but it's a beautiful, lightweight, easy maintenance option.The only thing I wish I'd thought about before purchasing is that the lid sits flat over each shelf, so there's no extra clearance. That means the overall dimensions for each shelf aren't very tall, so you can't put in things like full size rice balls, for example. I have to make them small and squish them a bit to flatten. So think about what it is you'll be packing before you buy.

This is a really beautiful Bento box. The wood is gorgeous. It’s made well and is sturdy and has an adorable little wooden spoon and fork with it. It’s a good size for portions. I’m very happy with it

Very small. If you lose the elastic band it’s useless as a lunch box. Not liking it.

Excellent. Well built, great size (I fit a handful of nuts, a half dozen small crackers, 8 mini carrots, a few small blocks of cheese, and 2 chicken rice balls (each about 2")) in the unit with no problems. Its perfect for small portion protein/carb eating post workout or a portion/calorie controlled lunch.If you're looking for something to hold a couple of sandwiches, this isn't going to do the job.It's held together by gravity when stacked, so no vacuum seal. Liquids are a no go, and there is no type of hot or cold retention, so room temp foods are the best bet.Customer service seems tops. I contacted them about receiving some additional divider pieces and they were friendly, obliged, very fast to reply, and very reasonable on price.Very happy with this purchase and seller.
