Excellent Debut!!
Honey Talk is a very deep and analytical debut novel that is both a thought-provoking and insightful look at psychotherapy and the doors it can open within the mind. I really enjoyed this look inside of the main character Lily’s mind, and how she got to be who and where she is today. It was very real, and many of her thoughts were quite relatable. Lily is an honest character who is outwardly a success but inwardly unraveling. This book was extremely well worded and well written, as a reader I could definitely feel the author’s experience and knowledge of the subject matter. This book kept my attention well (I really liked the short chapters, they were like quick excerpts full of thought), and moved along at a nice slow burn that lead up to a very surprising ending. Honey Talk is also book 1 in the Talk Series, and I think it’s a very promising debut to a series that I’m going to be looking forward to continuing. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

5 Star Review! A Must Read!
✨REVIEW✨Synopsis- “A cat-and-mouse game of therapy takes Lily down the backstreets of her traumatic past. Professionally thriving yet personally floundering, it’s become clear that her mid-thirties mark a point in her life where seeking help is essential. Opportunity arises when an impromptu arrangement with a long-time friend begins to carve a path away from stubborn, troubling memories. Little does she know that building the courage to stop the rot and peel back the layers could lead her into increasingly dangerous territory. Will she find a way out of the disturbing depths of her mind? Forget walking the walk, the question is, can Lily talk the talk...”Review- “Honey Talk” is a psychological thriller that will be released on June 11th, but I would like to personally thank the author Declan Davey for sending me a free digital ARC in exchange for an honest review. Where do I begin? I really enjoyed “Honey Talk”. This book was filled with all of the suspense and twists that I love in a good thriller. At the heart of the story we have our main character Lily who is deeply affected by her traumatic past and upbringing in a bad family situation. Lily finally realizes that seeking help is her best option and the opportunity emerges when she agrees to “act” as a patient for her friend Zayan. Details of Lily’s childhood and life up until this point are heartbreaking and unsettling. You will find yourself rooting for her throughout the entire story. What I most enjoyed about this book were the psychological elements. This book is not a who-dunnit, but rather explores the mind and how past trauma can shape who we become. “Honey Talk” receives 5 ⭐️ from me because I could not put it down! The most shocking part was the ending and I am still thinking about it today. I would highly recommend this book to all fans of psychological thrillers, especially to readers who love to explore the mind and really delve into the emotions, thoughts, and actions of a character.

Great Psychological Thriller
I received this book as a free review ebook from the author. I enjoyed ride through lily's fragile mental health roller coaster. I like that it focused on the decline of her mental state making it a true psychological thriller. I do wish it were a little more in depth. The glimpses of her past were gripping but could have been expanded on a bit more to add to the story and her issues. The ending also felt a bit rushed, but it definitely surprised me so I guess it worked well for the pace of the book. I definitely recommend this one if you like a good, quick thriller to get your heart racing.
