DAP21408 Gold Oak Plastic Wood Filler, 1/4 lb

As a wood worker, I keep a supply of this on hand for many small jobs. Ordered this one as a re-stock but did not need to open can when I received it. Recently, i needed this can to finish a job and when I open the can it was very hard and discolored. Never experience this before with a new "un-open" container. Not recommended!!

Unless you are being very careful and diligent about placement of this stuff, I would not use it. It dries very quickly and definitely needs to be sanded. It was not a good choice for filling small areas in my oak floor which I did not intent to refinish. Probably my fault for using it as I did although the color match was very good. Too bad it wasn't a more working filler.

Want to know how much plastic wood is 1/4 pound? Not much! It literally fits in the palm of my hand. I've used the product in the past, so I know it works, but I'm glad I bought some Wood Filler as well, as you get much more for your buck.

this was just like spackle but wood colored. It was a little drier than I'd would have liked, so it crumbled a little, but I used it to fix a hole in a door and it worked perfectly (hole was about 1/2 inch wide). Has a medium oak color. Sanded great. Had a hard time cleaning it off my hands though.

What can I say? This stuff has always been great and remains so. I get the smaller cans so the product is always soft at the start of the job. Bigger cans - I can never keep them from hardening after opening, no matter what.

You can't use this product with no polishing. Its texture looks different from the wood. Otherwise it is OK. m
