Worked well for two years, used daily then suddenly broke down. No access to enable repair so binned. On the whole pretty good for an intensive two years by I fortunate I could not open it to repair it

I bought this as a present for my mother and father in law who have been struggling lately with their usual manual twist corkscrew due to their age and the amount of effort required on some corks.This unit is neat and tidy and appears well made. It takes 4 AA batteries which aren’t supplied.I was present for its maiden use and was even given the honour of opening the bottle (I’m sure it was just to show them how it works).The operation is simple and effective and it does work well, however even with brand new fresh batteries it sounded like the mechanism was struggling. That said, it did the job and was reasonably quick.It has a light around the base which I personally think is a novelty and could possibly be done away with and would reduce the drain on the batteries.It comes with a neat little cutter for foil tops and saves having to pick away at it just trying to get to the cork.All in all this has made their life easier and they are happy with it. Time will tell how long it lasts.

First impressions were that this is a well made item in nice packaging. It looks good and has nice touches like the storage for the foil cutter which can be clipped in the base. As I don't like using disposable alkaline batteries I had prepared some rechargeable AA batteries. A quick check that all worked and everything seemed OK. However when I tried to use the opener on an actual bottle the screw part ground to a halt when it reached the cork. I then substituted new alkaline batteries. Whilst these worked OK I was left with the impression that it was still a struggle for the opener to remove the cork. Watch the video on the website to see how it works. I found it a bit too much trouble and I'm not sure how long the batteries would last. If you have difficulties in removing corks ( arthritis etc) then this may work for you but I think I'll stick to a decent lever corkscrew and not waste batteries on this.

This is a wonderfully simple-to-use high quality design.Works so well and is so easy to use - it effortlessly removes corks from the most stubborn of bottles and gently ‘hands’ the corks back once you’re done.A handsome unit which I will certainly be buying again as a gift for others.

Very pleased with the quality and ability of this product. It removes champagne corks with ease. Quick and easy to use. Plus the bottle stopper is an added bonus ! This item will look very professional at any dinner party. I can not recommend it highly enough.

Great product so easy to use although it says it’s electric which I think is false as it does not plug in only battery operated ? Could of bought a cheeper version.

Not impressed would have been ok at half the price, foil cutter is a joke, and also you need 3 hands because the gadget will not allign over the bottle as you begin the opening process.
