How do I put on this belt? In other words, once I remove the cover, do I need to loosen up anything to take the old one off & put this new one on?

Detach the door from the chain. Rotate the large pulley by hand while depressing the v-belt. It will ride down out of the groove and off the pulley. To put on the new one, just fit it over the small pulley and as much of the large one as you can and rotate the large pulley by hand and the belt will snap into place. No need to loosen anything at all! Good luck!!!

What is the length of this belt?

Listing says diameter is approximately 9". I already installed it so I can't easily measure it. I just went by the number on the old belt, and the machine had a tension adjustment on it so it could be tightened.
