I Used This Device in a 18 Travel Trailer
Are use this device to filter the power to the stereo in my 18 foot travel trailer. So far, it appears to have successfully filtered out interference from the LED lights, power, converter, and portable generators. Background noise caused by these devices has been minimized. No installation instructions were provided with the device. The device has three wires. The red wire is connected to the power source. The blue wire is connected to the load, in this case the stereo. The black wire is connected to the ground.

Worked for backup camera interference with maestro rr2
Have a 2017 tundra that I installer a Kenwood dmx1037s with a maestro rr2 idatalink controller. I noticed immediately that my oem backup camera had squiggly lines on it whether the car was on or off. If I ran a DVD player into the same composite camera input the video was fine so I realized it was likely the 6.5 volts that the maestro rr2 putting out dirty DC voltage. I wired to the power output of the maestro and through to the backup camera.Problem solved. If you are seeing this problem and have a maestro rr2 it's likely the same issue which this will fix.

Works perfectly but no instructions (read below if you need them)
My new car stereo was victim of alternator whine. I first did as others suggested and hooked it to a different ground. It still was really bad. I bought this hoping to eliminate the noise but was really skeptical. I hooked it up to the battery constant cable and it worked perfectly. The only drawback to this product is the lack of instructions. I had to look up instructions from a competitors product to figure it out. The red cable goes on the car side of the battery constant cable. The blue on the radio side the black ties into the chassis ground (I tied mine into the same ground that I have my stereo tied into). I hope this helps!

Did an OK job, not what I was hoping for
I had an issue where on my newly installed reverse cam while the engine was running and I tapped on the brakes it would have lines run down the screen. Engine off no problem. Installed this unit, had to find a place to ground it to chassis instead of my reverse ground and it kind of? Worked. Now I get the lines running down brake on or off while the engine is running but they are a little less noticeable and defined but still there. So now instead of having lines some of the time I have lines all of the time, overall unimpressed. All my connections have been soldered and heat shrunk and wired properly so I know it’s not an error on install. Also was not impressed how its put together, like others have said it’s a cluster of electronic components protected by a giant piece of heat shrink that is open on both sides. For the price they could have at least gave it a plastic housing to actually protect the components.

Worked for me
I had horrible static in my newly installed auto player, only when the engine was running. This would earn 5 stars if they would just provide the simplest wiring instructions. I had to get those details from other comments on this site.As with most units these days, my radio has 2 positive power sources.. an always-on/battery direct wire (yellow in my case) to keep the radio's memory alive, and an ignition-keyed source to actually power up the radio. At first, I connected this device inline with the always-on circuit. (RED wire to the car's power source, BLACK to a convenient ground, and the BLUE wire to the radio's power input wire). This did NOTHING to filter engine electrical static noise. So, I reconnected the device inline with my radio's ignition keyed power input (red wire to the radio's wiring harness in my case), and voila.. much to my surprise and pleasure, the unit does now filter at least 95% of the background noise.. enough to allow me to engine my radio. No complaints

Defective!
Can I give zero stars? Mine may be defective. I am using to clean up noise on a 96 cherokee. I have the backup wire from the rear backup light as trigger to a spst relay. Running the css12 on the down side of the relay and soon as I turn on ignition whole car goes dead.I have red to power 12v directly from battery and blue to power cam and black to ground..When I remove it car is fine and everything works fine w a few lines on the backup cam...So wtf?

FIXED MY HORRIBLY NOISY VIDEO FEEDBACK 100%
The media could not be loaded. The engine feedback I was getting was driving me absolutely crazy!! Did some research and found this little guy on YouTube. The video I uploaded shows it all. Before and after, I would only get noise and feedback when the car was running. If the car was on just turned to ACC the video was fine but now 100% of my noise and feedback is GONE. Something I didn't catch in the video I was also getting feedback in my sound system when reverse was engaged. This took care of that as well! Would DEFINITELY buy again if needed.

Didn’t work for me
Still have engine whine coming out of speakers and back up camera has diagonal lines when engine is running. Did make it better but noise still annoyingly audible

Did not fix reversing camera problem
Was bought to stop interference on a reversing camera, although it did stop the image totally disappearing it still had considerable interference. Ended up removing the noise filter and disconnecting the earth from the camera as the problem appears to be due to earth loop interference. Image is now clear and stable.

It works perfectly. Recommend 100%
I am very impressed and satisfied by this product. It works perfectly, you need to understand the schematics and where to put it. I comes between camera and power source and only there. Easy and fast. I recommend it 100%.

Effective Noise filter for my Car Stereo
It'd be nice if some bit of documentation somewhere said which wire is which since you can't see inside the heatshrink to get a look at the circuit, but guessing that red and black go to the power supply and ground worked out well enough. It does work exactly as advertised, though, so I can't really complain. I did not test it at currents anywhere near 12 A, but judging by the size of the components, it can probably get pretty close to that.
