Is this 100% waterproof?

The sides of this unit are screwed together and thus are not waterproof at the seems. It stays dry I side duri g the rain but at least one time I saw a little water on the bottom, I side.

It is. The lip hangs over and can be locked if needed. It holds all of our cushions and dog bed. We’ve had several storms since we’ve gotten it and it stays completely dry inside and no bugs are able to get in either. This box was exactly what I was looking for.

Is it animal proof particulsrly to chipmunks and swuirrels?

I would say yes it is. It’s airtight and sturdy. Made very well. We have several chipmunks in our yard and have had no issues as of yet.
