You can run a 8 or 9 speed cassette on it. Also, for completeness, 7 will work with a (4.5mm) spacer found here: http://www.amazon.com/Wheels-Manufacturing-Cassette-Spacer-Converts/dp/B001CJVLWO/ and with a 1mm Spacer ( http://www.amazon.com/Wheels-Manufacturing-1mm-Cassette-Spacer/dp/B0025UINFC ) you _should_ be able to run a 10 speed cassette (I personally haven't done 10spd, but that's how I understand it, use google for more information)
