Raleigh Redux 1 Urban Assault Bike

I bought this bike because I was looking for an aluminum frame that could fit 2.3'' wide 26'' tires (Compass Rat Trap Pass tires) and had a sloping top tube for a lower standover height. I swapped out the handlebars, brake levers, shifters, the chainring, the rear cassette, the derailleur, the wheels, the pedals, and the saddle. I kept the bottom bracket, the headset and stem, the brakes, and the crank. Sounds like I didn't keep much, but I had a lot of those parts laying around from other projects. I put on Soma Junebug bars, Tektro long-pull road brake calipers, a Dura-Ace bar end shifter, $169 wheels I got on Amazon, and of course the fancy RTP tires. This bike is a blast! Even if I had bought all those parts just for this project, I think I would have come in well under $800, and in exchange I got a light (approx 23lbs size large), peppy commuter with lots of personal style. It's a nice stiff frame with lots of tire clearance.
