Can I use this grill as a smoker?

If you use indirect heat probably. A firebox is available for this grill.

Can you convert this to natural gas.

Thank you for your inquiry I am sorry but Char-Griller is not certified for natural gas and does not have a conversion kit. Converting a Char-Griller to natural gas will void the warranty. Thank you.

What’s the grill surface area of the gas half? Why can’t you release this number? Lol

This model offers 303 sq. inches of cooking surface area on each side. The warming rack offers an additional 132 sq. inches of cooking surface area on each side as well. In total, you have 435 sq. inches of space on each side and 870 sq. inches total combined.
