My 93 year old mom is in my care and is on Lasix to help with adema, water retention. Well going at night is a great difficulty. I saw this item and thought, well, it might help. Yes it does! After some initial laughter she said it was easy to use and I set it up in a pail covered in a plastic bag with a paper towel in the bottom. Shes's even reused it more than once with out waking me to clean it, against my request. Still, she's gotten pretty good at not spilling any and not having to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. It really made a difference. The lack of a cap was a concern but actually makes it easier to deal with. Great price at under ten bucks and a great help.Update: Feb 2013Mom is 94 going on 95 still using the "pee bucket." Since I don't have an auto-clave to clean it I have extra ones to swap out after a few months. My clean routine is to pour out contents in toilet, rinse out in bath tub spray it down with Lysol and dry with a paper towel. Of course wear disposable gloves. Great product!

A must have for dorm life and camping. Who wants to wake up in the middle of the night, put clothes on and walk down the hall to pee; not me! Nor do I wish to get out of my tent or car in the middle of the dark, chilly night. This is hard plastic and will probably be here long after I'm gone. The handle makes it super easy to hold while you're doing your business and rinsing it out.

Unlike the male version, there is no lid to help prevent spills before disposal. Men can use just about anything, so i purchased this one so my wife could use it when necessary.It's a plastic pee bottle. Nothing to rave about here. Price isn't horrible. Wife complained that there wasn't a lid too. Works fine. It's for pee, how complicated do we really need to make it?

Your in you car heading to your mother in laws and you just left the house and have only been on the interstate for about 45 minutes, theres limited traffic and you have found that caravan of people doing 90 on a consitent cruise control down I 40. Man we are making good time then our of now where this unexspected yet exspected , Honey stop at the gas station I have to pee is announced. Sad face... Now with lumex I can go here ya go honey and the trip continues. This is some good hard construction and great to keep in the car or when hiking and some people (ahem) cant pee in the woods or have you stop at three different exits to pee within an hour because I really didnt go that bathroom was to dirty so I just stood there a minute because I knew you would gripe at me for makeing you stop three more time until we find a toilet clean enough to sanitize with clorox wipes, hand santizer and then sttill line the seat with toilet paper.

I don't really like pulling over to go because I can go alot. This product is good but also not very sturdy and no lid, you need to make sure that you keep it somewhere where it wont tip over. But I really like it for long hikes, instead of squatting down behind a bush and peeing all over myself I can just hid and stand and pee, saves a big mess. Kinda hard to get it all out of the container, takes a few tips because its shaped so wierd.

Does not work well since it has a very small opening. Not stable if you sit it down on the bottom.

This was a game changer for my mom, who was in transitional care for 3 weeks, and not always able to get immediate help at night when she needed to urinate. It is also invaluable for her as she returned home and did not want to risk falling out of bed at night to get to the bathroom. This device is a revolution! The most important thing is that it fits and there is no leaking when using it, and it is large enough to handle any amount of urine in one session (or two likely if needed--although you can have a bedpan handy to empty this into for addt'l use). I was very surprised that none of the medical people in her care facility had heard of this aide! Going to the bathroom is usually a huge hurdle in those types of places. Thrilled to discover this.
