Don’t confuse hard with strong or tough. Diamond is hard. Steels are tough. Grade 1 Titanium is also hard, but unlikely to be used in this function so it is most likely to be an alloy hence soft. As your ring is less likely to be as mass produced, it may be a more pure sample of titanium hence harder. I’ve had mine (wallet) for years and yes it’s scratched, but it still works like the day I got it and if I really feel pedantic enough I can polish it. But I’m not. Life is not for polishing wallets!

Are these wallets actually £105 minimum? When every other metal wallet out there maxs out at like £30? What warrants this ridiculous price increase?

The materials are the reason for the price.

You need to search for the carbon fibre version, they have titanium,metal and carbon fibre versions... so just search for what you want... think the carbon fibre versions are around £120 - £140
