the circumference of the calf is 18.5 inches!!
Why was this important measurement not mentioned anywhere? The original description should have had it. Then many people wrote how they did not realize it was "wide calf", and had to return the boots, but nobody actually took the trouble to publish the measurement.The leather seemed to be of good quality and these will be very nice boots for someone with 18.5 inch calves.

Very pleased!
I am tall & have slim feet & legs and knew that I would be taking a chance on these! I am also very fussy & like that they are leather. I was very pleased when they fit perfectly! I wore them for 9 hours on the first day and have been wearing them everyday since.

Amazing Leather boots!!
Just received them and had to leave my input! These are a beautiful color, love that they are leather and fit me perfectly. I have bigger than average calves, and since this one is not Wide Calf, when I was zipping them on I was concerned they would not fit, but they did - and perfectly. Amazing price - very happy with my purchase!!

Wide Calf Boots! Not stated in description.
I ordered these boots as a gift for Christmas and they came in "wide calf". They are extremely large calves and the boots fall right down. I ordered a replacement boot and they shipped the same exact boots!!!!!!! I now have to return two pairs of the same boots after the product description does not state "wide calf" or anything like. I requested a regular calf boot or do not ship them again and yet they still shipped the same exact boots! This is so frustrating! DO NOT ORDER!!!!!

Wide Calf! Otherwise beautiful!
These boots are beautiful and I was so excited to get them, but the boots I was sent are the wide calf version, not regular. Way too big around in the calf! They even have a tag saying they're wide and it's printed on the inside of the boot--"WC". This wasn't mentioned anywhere in the item description and I'm super disappointed. I'm returning them. I wish I could just replace them with the regular ones!

Not leather as described
This boot fit true to size however, the boot is not leather as the description says and the shaft of the boot is not sturdy .. which gives the shaft a scrunch-like look. I am a bit disappointed because previous footwear by FrancoSarto has always met my approval.

Really run large
These boots are of a beautiful quality. However, they run so large on the calf. I had to return. Wish they came in regular. If you have a larger calf, these are the boots for you!!!

Black leather boots
They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. The leather is nice and the sole is perfect. I love the adjustable straps up top so if pants are thicker they will fit better. Wry nice made. I have always loved Franco Sarto shoes. Very good quality.

Hermosas y cómodas!
Pensé que me quedarían incómodas las botas debido a que tengo el pie gordito a partir de qué di a luz, pero me calzaron perfecto! Son cómodas y si! De la pantorrilla si son amplias, así que si eres de pantorrila flaca, te quedarán nadando. Son de piel, los acabados hermosos y el color divino.

If you need a really wide calf, this is the perfect boot!
Loved these boots, but the calves were just too large, even with jeans. Otherwise they are gorgeous boots for the price, and feel comfortable.

Comfortable but poor quality
These boots are comfortable and for well, however, the quality is lacking. The stitching has some undone and the heel is scratched. This is after about 4 uses and only walking indoors. Disappointed in the quality.
