I was taking it for various health reasons, not realizing it had an affect on mental health! I ran out and decided wasn't going to top off for the month (it's kind of expensive) a few days later my anxiety started increasing. I was puzzled for a while. Nothing in my routine changed. One night I realized my anxiety symptoms correlated with stopping avmacol. So, I decided to reorder and a few days later (2 pills a day) my anxiety started going back to manageable levels! That's when I decided I'll never stop taking it. I don't care if it's placebo. This thing is a god send.

My 14yo was positive with H-pylori after having completed treatment and a negative biopsy months ago. She came out positive twice, but I didn’t want to medicate. We started these and she has since been negative. Sure, there is always that chance she had a false positive or a false negative, and I am not a doctor nor am i providing medical advise (her doctor approved of us taking this route), but I think these have really helped her. Her reflux and pain are gone too.

I’ve been taking Avmacol for about a year now after reading about the health benefits of sulfurophane and was admittedly spooked earlier this year when I saw a notification about “fake or tainted supplements” potentially impacting this product. However, Nutramax happily accepted my original return and, as a courtesy, sent me two new containers. I’m now using this new formulation and have so far found it as efficacious as the original. In retrospect, I’m glad they called out the product issue and addressed it. At the end of the day, it shows their Quality Assurance processes are working!

I can't comment on if I've noticed anything beyond placebo effect from the pills, but I trust that they're doing good things for me that I can't feel.They are not great to swallow. Their texture is grainy. I kinda had to learn how to swallow them, by doing water first then pill. It's not a deal breaker though, I've already bought 2 of these bottles. Maybe they'll figure out a better coating one day.

This is a nutrient which is converted into a detox and repair cellular support compound called sulforaphane which activates the NRF-2 system. The NRF-2 system is found in essentially all animals and apparently activates detoxifying and anti carcinogen pathways of metabolism which support cellular health. It fits into a health promoting program of exercise, sleep, diet and social/mindfulness. For my wife and I, it specifically replaced growing and ingesting broccoli sprouts (which have high levels of precursor to sulforapahane) which seem difficult to digest.

Been using this once a day on child and it has had noticeable positive benefits.

For those who would like to know the complete ingredients list, there are other ingredients on the bottle that are not shown on this page. This product contains: "OTHER INGREDIENTS: Microcrystalline cellulose, maltodextrin, contains less thatn 2% of: silicon dioxide, modified cullulose gum and magnesium stearate." I know not everyone is allergic to these ingredients and if it is working for you, that's great. However, this product causes skin rashes for some who are allegic to the 'other ingredients'. I feel the company should mention these other ingredients on this page, so that consumers are not in the dark about all the ingredients and don't have to waste their money on a product that is this expensive.
