What are the "rubberized dots" made of? we just installed lvt and we've been told not to have any rug pads/backings w/rubber or latex.

I found this info: "Rubber-backed rugs are relatively easy to wash and create a safe, non-slip surface, but can harm a laminate floor. The rubber backing on rugs can undergo a chemical reaction when placed on top of a laminated floor, trapping gases beneath the rubber and discoloring the laminate surface." So my guess is it may discolor your flooring.

Is this mat breathable at all? I had the plastic style on my wood floor and I didn't know it was holding moisture and it ruined my oak floor.

It's not plastic. We haven't had it for very long but no moisture being held between it and my flooring. I've really been happy with it.

how would it hold up under powered wheelchair?

The chair mat does shift every so often because of the chair moving, having to adjust it occassionally from "bunching up" against the wall (depending on where you put it). Our office chair does move nicely off/on the mat. I would think a powered wheelchair, being a bit heavier, would work just as well. You may be able to try it and return it if it doesn't do as well as you'd like. We are pleased with the mat how it is lasting and the colors.
