There are only 3 buttons:1-"Vacuum and seal",2- "Seal"3- "Pulse" (do it yourself instead of the machine)So easy and convenient.This one's a no-brainer. LOVE it!EDIT:OMG! It broke.Doesn't vacuum anymore.I only used it for a week!I am so disappointed. 😭

Great product and saves me a lot of money by keeping my food fresh by sealing it well

I will start off this review by telling you that the best feature of all is that there is no Bluetooth, wireless, or accompanying app that Anova can charge you for in the future.With that said it is a perfectly simple device that does a solid job at vacuum sealing bags that I use for sous-vide cooking without issue. So far I've used it about half dozen times, and have yet to have a problem. If you find yourself vacuum sealing things that contain liquid or wet marinades, be advised there is no moist sealing option so you have to use the pulse and eyeball it.My justification for the purchase was that at the time it was cheaper than purchasing a FoodSaver (or competing brand equivalent), small profile, and simple functionality. In addition, the Anova brand carried some weight with me for how well it's liked with other products at the time of purchase.Like many of us, I purchase what best fits my needs and budget. However, reputation and brand recognition do carry some weight in my decision process. At the time I purchased this I was actively interested in Anova products because they had a decent following. However after learning about Anova's decision to move products towards subscription models, I would have probably decided to go with another brand if I had to do it over again.As always, this is solely my opinion, and when I do write reviews I try to be as honest as possible.

Great quality. This product is easy to clean and use! Yet small enough to store away in a drawer. Wet or dry products, you can suck the air out and seal! Super easy to use!

I've had a sous vide for years but had perfected my ziploc bag technique. The vac sealer is so much better. Just be careful with the bags you get. I have the ANOVA roll of bags and sometimes the seal doesn't totally take (I suspect this is my fault and an issue with how the bags curl when I load them into the machine). I've noticed this when I prep meats a few days ahead of sous vide-ing, one of the bags will have air in it and no longer be sealed. I haven't had any issues when putting sealed bags into the sous vide.

I bought one for my twin and it worked fine for her. My FoodSaver that I've had for several years finally gave up the ghost so I decided to replace it with this Anova Vacuum Sealer. The first time I used it, the spring locking mechanism on the left side didn't pop out properly. I worked around that problem and sealed 2 bags. Last night, I try to seal 2 more bags and it wouldn't work. It made noise like it was trying to suck the air out, but never did. I sealed the long side of the bag and cut the shorter side hoping that the shorter opening would help it to vacuum. It did vacuum the air out, but as soon as it went into seal mode, air went right back into the bag. This thing is useless. It feels flimsy and cheap. I just spent a lot of money to seal 2 bags. I had it less than 2 weeks!!

I’ve had this sealer since 2021. It still works and has been a solid performer. I still use it today. It may not have some of the features as others it is great for starting out with a sealer. It’s small enough to store without being intrusive. It locks well when using. The air flow may not be as strong as some of the others but it will work well for small jobs.

I bought this as a gift for a friend.Works great, and she loves it.
