Can they be turned on and left on 24/7...i change 80 or so batteries every sunday morning in my house?

The remote, which turns them on and off, allows you to just turn them on, or once on hit an additional button to have them stay on for 4 or 5 or 6 or 8 hours then they turn off automatically. You can turn them on and just leave them on. I set mine fir 8 hours and they come on the same time every day and turn themselves off 8 hours later.

Can these be left outside?

Yes definitely! They are waterproof. They can be used inside and outside. I have some outside and temps have been in the high 90s plus rain. They function perfectly and look great. No melting like real wax.

How long does a single candle last? In your description it sounds like 50,000 hours each... Is that true for one candle ?

Mine all stop working within days, one by one. Within a week they all stopped working. I had mine outside, maybe if they are used inside they would do better
