Simpsons, The Season 19 DVD [2019]

Absolutely could not wait when I heard they were finally going to release the 19th season! It’s been so long since the last simpsons Boxset and if like me you have collected them all then you have been hoping for season 19 for some time. This was the first season after the movie and the first couch gag clears up some of the confusion surrounding the mess we find Springfield in.We also get audio commentary on every single episode which gives some incredible behind the scenes stories on how the episodes were made.Let’s also talk about the amazing dvd cover and the incredible art work, this has to be the best Simpsons DVD to date and one every fan of The Simpsons should own!5 stars from me ❤️

"Seasons 1-9 were the best" blah blah blah. If you're inclined to ignore people who say this, some of whom are merely repeating what others say, and will give anything Simpson a try, season 19 is a pleasant surprise. The earlier seasons were of course better than the later, but there are many hilarious moments in the later ones, and some good stories too. Frankly, I'll keep buying em if they keep making em (though they keeping saying they won't issue any more dvds).

The love and care put into these Simpson DVDs are amazing, so happy they have released Season 19 with gorgeous and stunning artwork alongside the episode Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind, what more could you ask for!? (Perhaps Season 20 with special features next please? :))

Fantastic to receive series 19. My only fear of future releases being currently one a year and 12 years behind, will DVD still exist that far into the future? Perhaps Disney needs to close the gap and speed up the release schedule. How about 4 seasons a year?

Lifelong Simpsons fan, I always look forward to getting a new series of The Simpsons on DVD. Had this pre ordered for months. Great Simpsons episodes, nice presentation box. I just wish they would release them more often

1) Season itself- Surprisingly good! While there are a few weaker outings (smoke on the daughter), there are plenty of hidden gems here (eternal moonshine...).- Is it as good as the first 9 seasons? Of course not. They were legendary. Is anything going to be that good again? I don't know. As a stand alone and amidst some of the weaker seasons between 11 & 20, this is one of the best.2) Packaging- A lot better than previous seasons. DVDs much easier to extract than previous all-cardboard outings.- Very nice artwork (hand drawn style) over the interior of the box, DVDs and consequently on DVD menus. Would have been nice to have some explanation as to who the artist is, and why it was used included in the pamphlet, but that's small stuff!3) Extras- speaking of small stuff. Excellent inclusion of commentary as ever. I'm one of those sad people who likes to listen to the creators yammer on about their work, almost like a podcast, while I tidy etc.- One glaring omission was the lack of deleted scenes & other extras. This made me a little sad, as it's the first time we've had no deleted scenes, or hidden Easter eggs on DVD menus. Just a 20 second ad thanking fans for supporting the show.4) Overall- I'm just grateful they released it on DVD! A dying medium it may be, but I don't have to pay a rolling subscription to get the one show I like, amidst a few I may sort of enjoy, and a lot of rubbish.

100% pure entertainment. Genuinely hilarious and eternally excellent. Just keeps on getting better. And better. And about a trillion times better than practically anything else on telly, like, ever. Do yourself a favour: buy this box set. Now.

Great edition to the Simpsons collection, just need season 20 now.Bought previously from eBay but was a fake copy.
