Excellent Garden knife
Well made knife that should last a long time and at a fair price, what's not to like? The blades open and close smoothly and they are plenty sharp for any Garden task. The two blade shapes are are very useful around the yard and garden. Nice size for your hand and your pocket.

Size measurements need updating: closed = 4" + 3" blade
This seems like a great knife, haven't used it yet, but want to say the size measurements are way off. They are much better than the product description page: overall closed size: 4" NOT 2.5! full opened length 7" [the measurements given don't even seem to add up!] Fits in the hand nicely. Seems sharp but who knows after use.. nice wood handle, seems well made overall. Already cut myself!

Not the best quality
The blades are reasonably sharp but I couldn't figure out how to use the notches on the blade. I could not cut a small rope with the notches so they are not very sharp. The overall finish of the tool is not very good. The rivets do not fill the hole completely, the printing on the tool not even, there are several gaps in the tool that should not be there. The blade is held in place by a spring mechanism and there is no lock. The spring mechanism holds it in the 90 degree (not sure why you need this) or full open position.

Excellent for Roses.
This folding hawkbill knife is excellent for dead-heading roses and other flowers. I bought it specifically for use on my roses, and it delivers a quick, smooth cut, that doesn’t mash or damage the stem. It arrived with a super sharp blade, which stays securely in place until I’m ready to fold it away. It’s got a nice weight to it and is very pretty wood handle.

Makes quick work opening your Amazon boxes too!!!
Ended up buying another after getting the first one. I originally bought the first for gardening and harvesting which does the job however read another review about using to open and break down boxes. Had to test it out. Surprisingly this knife is easier to use than a regular box cutter. Don’t get me wrong a box cutter works, just this curved hawkbill works just as well too and even handles better imho, gets between the edges quicker and with a straighter cut. I got the second one just for that to open the slew of delivery and amazon boxes more or less. If you get a zillion delivery boxes don’t see this as frivolous, saves time and aggravation using scissors or whatever is laying around. Also use it on the air filler packaging. Makes for quick work compressing boxes and packing material.Oh the gardening, I don’t see reasons for the complaints about the blade not being sharp enough, seems plenty sharp for harvesting vegetables. Anything sharper cut might call for another type of tool. Besides a knife or tool sharpener can make it to your preference. But out of box this knife works fine for my needs. I will say oddly the second knife blade is stamped stainless steel on the blade, first is not, but they are identical in the second pic. Guessing just a manufacturing irregularity.Great buy and bargain for a useful hawkbill knife.

Love it!
Love it. Super sharp. A little on the heavy side but got used to it quick. I am a florist and use it daily. Still nice and sharp. Have only used the smaller straight knife in it a couple times so it's even sharper. I ordered a couple more as back ups! Incase I loose it. (Florists have a bad habit of loosing knives in the trash.)

Frustrating quality
I really want to like this knife, it has a lot of great qualities going for it. It looks nice, it's easy to grip, it comes with a factory sharp edge, the blades have multiple uses including cutting twine and pruning plants with the straight blade.Sadly mine has one really annoying defect: the curved blade isn't aligned with the handle and closes naturally into the metal tang. You can even see a mark from the factory where it dug into the tang before packing and it managed to pass quality control and it was simply bent to fit into the slot. Unfortunately even with trying to bend it back, I'm afraid I'll make it worse and even with extreme pressure the bend is not permanent. Unless I very slowly close it while applying pressure the tip of this knife is just forever doomed to catch and leave some of the sharp edge exposed, and worse, constantly dull the blade.

Damn sharp.
Sharp as hell. Very impressive for an inexpensive every day carry tool.
