EpsonCold Press Fine Art Paper, 19 Mil, 8.5 X 11, Textured Matte Natural, 25/pack

I love this paper. I am a semi-professional photographer and mainly focus in landscape and B&W photography.I really love the weight and feel of this paper, but it does require learning about how to use it with your printer. You need to have a photo printer that can handle heavy weight paper. I have an Epson ET-8550 printer that I use this in.My main issue with the printer is that I can't load any custom ICC profiles easily so I need to figure out which default profile to use. I will use the Velvet Fine Art Paper profile on my printer when using this paper and the print comes out really nice.You also need to know how the different papers and finishes affects what is printed. When I print color photos to this paper, they come out nice but the colors aren't always as vivid as on my monitor or printed with papers with a luster, semi-gloss, or glossy finish. This paper does not have a shiny finish on it and that will impact the brightness when doing color prints.Overall I really like what I can do with this paper.

Epson no longer provides the necessary drivers for their printers to use this paper properly. If you try to get the necessary drivers from the Epson website, you hit an error page. You can still use the paper, but it will be a terrible quality print.

First time user of this paper for a very specific application. Printed well, and holds the colors pretty well to for the type of printer I use.

Great for my fine art prints

Here's something that's not in the item description, or even on the box—it's in the instructions, but you can't read those until you open it: this paper is only meant to work in a handful of Epson's own printers. I put it in my HP 8710, and it jammed as soon as I started to print.It seems to be a quality paper, suitable for watercolors and such; but offering it for sale without warning me I can't use it in my printer is deceitful.

I like this paper although I think Epson has a quality control problem. Some boxes, the paper seems thicker and or stiffer than others. This makes it more difficult at times to load without the printer acting up. My biggest problem is that there are always 2 or 3 sheets per box that have a small dark blue or black speck on the print side, one had a deep brown seed imbedded in it that broke through the top and back and I have had problems with impressions (like tire marks) as well. Every box, no matter where I purchase it from has this problem and at a dollar a sheet, it adds up. If this continues, I'm just going to have to switch brands.
