USB 3.0 Adapter 90 Degree Male to Female Coupler Connector Plug Left Right Up Down Angle (USB 3.0 Adapter Left 2PCS)

I travel a lot, so I use a small form factor portable hard drive (https://amzn.to/3WvtdEh - 2TB, fast, highly recommended) on my desktop when I'm at home and move it to the laptop I use when on the road. I connect it to the front panel on my desktop tower instead of crawling under my desk to attach it to the back. But when I use a regular USB cable (like the original one included with the drive), the drive won't lie flat on top of the tower and the angle of the cable applies some torque to the USB port on the drive - that can't be good for it over the long run.This right angle USB connector fixes that problem for me. My drive lies flat on the tower, with no pressure on the USB port.I will eventually upgrade my regular desk to a standing one. When I do, I'll also get an under the desk CPU mount. Those don't leave a lot of clearance above the tower, so these will come in handy for that situation too.I only have a couple minor nitpicks, not worthy of removing a star from my rating. One is that the connector is a little long, so it doesn't sit perfectly flush on the computer. The other is that I wouldn't be able to use two of these connectors side by side, since the USB ports on my tower are too close together. But it doesn't prevent using a regular USB cable next to it, nor the thick microphone cable I have plugged in right next to it.I'm very happy with this purchase.

I like that this right angle connector is a true flush mount. Others tend to stand off a bit, which is nice if you need to plug and unplug your connector. However, if you're looking for something to keep your cable out of harms way, this is a great connector. You aren't going to accidentally snap this one off by brushing up against it. Very secure USB connection, not too tight but definitely not loose at all. You can definitely remove it if you need to, without any trouble.

My all-in-one desktop bit the dust, so have to use my laptop. Needed more usb ports for 2 external hd, printer. With a left and right, I'm able to keep cables out of my way.

This little gadget solved an annoying desktop real estate problem for me.

These USB adapters are well-made and sturdy. They fit tightly in the port. They sit nice and flush with the laptop, which is nice.HOWEVER, be aware that BOTH of these adapters are "Left". The title of this product says "left right, up down", which I took to mean that you get one for the left side and one for the right side of the computer. However, I now realize that this meant that one of the USB adapters points upward and one points downward. In other words, in order to use one of these on each side of the computer, The right side flips the adapter to point upward toward the back of the computer, and the left side is the only one that points toward the user. (see pictures) I really wanted them both pointing to face me, so that I could easily access my USB devices to plug in or take out.One other downside - When you plug in a USB device, the plug does not fit in all the way...it sticks out from the adapter (see picture).So, overall, this is a good product, but be aware of the angle before purchasing, to make sure it's the right fit for your needs, and be aware that the plugs do not fit into the adapter all the way.

Since I have had the product for less than a week, I cannot rate Durability or Sturdiness.The product arrived on time and allows me to mount USB devices where they would have been physically blocked without the adapters. So far all the devices tested have worked perfectly.4 Dec 2022 Update. Have had these for over 2-years. They continue to work without any problems - good sturdiness and durability.

I was very happy to discover that they are opposite of each other so that I can plug them both in to make my USB charging ports flush mount. Not I don't have to worry about the cable getting broken if someone hits it while walking by in my camper.
