yardage to the pin
The 6000 is great. The battery is amazing. The yardages are accurate. I like the hazard yardage to and over addition. I like the bright yellow so I can find it. My only issues are that if you get close to a different tee box it switches to that hole. Nice for normal play, but sometimes you have to pass close to a tee box to get to your green. You can switch back to hole you are on but only for a second. The other issue is when you travel to a different course and rent a cart, be very careful not to leave it stuck to the cart. The magnet is also very powerful. I love it but I have left it twice now. I know, that is my fault but it is easy to do.

Izzo Swami 6000 Golf GPS: Perfect for the Price, Accurate, Durable, Large Font
Perfect GPS for the price! My goal is to hit the green so I'm primarily interested in the distance to the front/middle/back of the putting green. Some of my golfing partners carry a GPS and Range Finder to accurately assess yardage/inches to the flag, but the average weekend golfer only requires the 3 primary distances to the putting green (in my opinion). The Izzo Swami 6000 Handheld Golf GPS is accurate, easy to read, great magnet, water proof (yes), and lasts about 2 rounds (but I charge after each round). Locates every course in Hawaii so no complaints. Seems durable...time will tell. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Accurate & Works well
I would give it 4.5 stars if I had the option. Fair price, accurate & main reason for purchase was no subscription required. Only con - unit automatically switches to next hole, not great on occasional stray ball (Lol) - but pain to back up to add / revise score - however, I would definitely recommend item.

Easy to read with large print for senior eyes.
What I like about the Izzo Swami 6000 Handheld Golf GPS is the easy to understand display of hazards. Un like the phantom 2 the display for front middle and back of the green is large readable print and the diplay of the hazards is easy to understand. If you are squinting at you display on your GPS watch or handheld take a look at the Izzo Swami 6000 Handheld Golf GPS, it is afforadable and I have checked the accuracy with other GPS usnits on the same hole with no differance in yardage. Also if you have ever just picked up the phantom 2 you have probably advanced a hole by accident the Izzo Swami 6000 Handheld Golf GPS design is well thought out to prevent that from occuring.

Just what my wife wanted
My wife asked for an easy-to-use GPS for golf that would mount onto our golf cart and show yardage to the green. One of her golf partners had something similar and my wife, who finds using a laser range finder inconvenient, wanted one like it. The Swami works just like the descriptive information said: small, strong magnet, easy to read and when checked with my Leupold laser range finder, was in agreement with the yardage. It's one of the few times I have bought a gift for my wife that she hasn't returned. Success!

OK. Just OK, Because of Short Life
The price point was right, so I took the plunge. The 1-year warranty got me from purchase to failure, so plan to budget for an annual purchase if you buy this product, it seems. The positives are pretty good - nice screen, good accuracy, extensive choice of courses. The big negative is durability, and some odd quirks in charging provide another challenge. The Swami would just not charge on occasion, and it did not work while connected to a power bank I keep in the bag. The “OK” rating is mostly about the product’s life span. Mine was well treated, but lasted only one month longer than the limited warranty - 13 months.

Jumps to next tee box when on the green. ANNOYING
I bought over a year ago and use it 2 or 3 times a week. The ONLY DISLIKE is it jumps to the next hole if the green is close to the next tee box and it won't let you go back until you are far enough away from the green, so entering your strokes is challenging because you need to remember to go back and enter your score. I do leave it on the cart but it doesn't seem to make a difference if I take it up on the green with me. I've given up with using the scoring part. If you use just the GPS part, you can get 2 rounds of 18 in. If you use it for scoring, you might not get all 36 holes in. I've held it at the 150, 125 and 100 marker's on the course and it's usually pretty close. If you are an exact yardage golfer, I'm not sure I would totally trust it but it gets me there. The magnetic back is very strong and has never fallen off.Doesn't always pick up small stream hazards. I'm not sure if I would buy it again.
