Action fit headphones
I was looking for headphones for running, I bought these a few months ago hoping the reviews were accurate. They are. They don't fit tight so I thought for sure they would move on my head while running but I was pleasantly surprised at just how secure they are. I've only used them while running on a treadmill so I can't attest to road running with wind yet.I really like the short cord, I use the smallest Ipod, clip it on my collar and no more cords flapping around. Sound does leak around the ear pieces which might be bothersome at a gym to anyone running next to me but I run at home so that's not an issue for me.The sound is great, they stay in place and when the earpieces get sweaty I take them off and rinse them out. These are exactly what I was looking for

Highly recommended fitness headphones
I have searched high and low for earbuds that would actually stay put in my ears during my workouts but to no avail. I really did not want over the ear headphones because I worried that they will be too heavy and bulky and make my ears hot and sweaty. I finally bit the bullet out of desperation and bought these headphones. Totally worth it! First they are very lightweight, and I tend to forget that they are on my head after a few minutes. They stay put through any and all position or activity, contrary to what some other buyers have experienced, but then I do have thicker hair. The ear pads are covered in some kind of breathable cloth which really minimizes sweating around the ears while still providing excellent isolation from the outside environment. What about sound quality? Well, these are designed for workouts, and for that specific purpose they do a great job. You certainly would not be listening to Chopin or Mozart satisfactorily through these, but for workout music they are perfectly balanced. Bottom line: an excellent product for what it is intended for.

Nice change from earbuds
Earbuds, even sports-focused ones that bragged about their fit, never seemed to fit in my ears well through the course of a run, so I thought I'd give these sport headphones a try. Much better. They still shift a bit in the run but never enough to disrupt what I'm doing and so much easier to slide back in place! Also nice not to have to untangle cords before every run. They're certainly heavier than earbuds but I didn't really notice the extra weight after a few minutes with them on. Sound is good - not outstanding but better than what I had experienced from other sports-focused equipment. Keep the volume down a little on the road/trail though because they don't let in much outside sound.

Great for running
Love these headphones. I'm deaf in one ear and since dibs have too much intensity since they are so close to the ear drum, I refuse to use them since they promote hearing loss. I only use over the war headphones which can be troublesome since I enjoy running while listening to books. These headphones stay on and don't bump around. I used to use behind the head headphones but those hurt my ears and I couldn't wear my sunglasses with them, but I can with these. Plus I love how they have a cord extender so if I'm using my arm band I don't have to worry about snagging a long cord with my arm while running, but if I just put my phone in my pocket, I can have a cord long enough to reach. Definitely worth the money, plus it saves hearing!

So Far...So Good
Haven't used it yet for a full workout but it has nice sound (allows surrounding environment to be heard while jogging), nice fit too. The only thing I'm concerned about is detaching the foam pieces, seems that it doesn't snap back into place too easily. So far though this has been a very good investment especially for me who don't like the ear-buds.(edit-in; Feb. 12th, 2015)...used them in a work-out for a few weeks so far, these things are excellent!...great fit and hold all during the jogging and the spin class...a very good find and buy.

better than ear buds good sound for your money
I really taught that they were going to stay on but they just don't ; better than ear buds good sound for your money , I guess it depends on your work outs and what you like , don't get me wrong I really like them, just can seem to find a set that will actually hold on when I'm working out in intense mode that feeling of having stop to fix your earpiece is frustrating to say the least, this my best one yet by far; pretty soon I think that I'm going to find a new use for duct tape :)

Good alternative to earbuds.
The sound quality is pretty good. The headband slips for me, but that could be because I have no hair. It's better than cramming those silicone things in my ears and having to adjust them while trying to run.My chief complaint is that the wire near the connection seems to have started to wear out already, giving me choppy noise unless I position it correctly. This is a little disappointing given the fact that these are decent headphones.Additionally there is no control on the cable which is increasingly necessary for a running set of headphones.

Update after 6 months
I've run, OK jogged (9s), about 100 miles in the 2 months since I got these. They are perfect. Good sound, stay nice on my head, adjustable for when I wear a winter hat. I'm watching for the price to drop below the 55 I paid and I'm getting another pair to keep new in the box for when these die. Hopefully will last a few years at least, will update here.Ok, 6 months later, they died. It's the connector, garbled sound from any device. Went back to my ear buds for now. Price went up to $70 too from 55. Maybe I should have spent the $8 for 4 year protection plan. I liked these, oh well. Rating updated from 5 to 2 stars.

Great so far
Utterly sick of running ear/headphones that cost 15-20 quid and last a few months (or weeks in a couple of cases) I contemplated the unthinkable-60 quid on a pair of these. I did my research, they were consistently in the top 10 runners' headphones so I had some confidence in them. Are they worth the money? It depends on your POV....on the face of it-not on your bloody nelly are they worth 60 squid of your hard earned. If you take the attitude that it's the same as getting through 3 pairs of 20 quid headphones a year (runners will know that's entirely possible)-and they last over a year then they are probably worth it.They look great. Some reviewers have the opposite opinion on the colour and style, but my opinion is they look great. They are REALLY comfortable, with just enough grip to hold them in place. They sound good (no more than good, but then they don't NEED to sound any better). The wire genuinely doesn't tangle (weird!) and there is the option of having long or short wire depending on whether the MP3 player is in a pocket of on an armband. Oh and the wire only goes to the left can, another nice touch. On the downside, the much boasted about removable (and washable) ear cushions are fiddly to get off and even worse to get back on-due to the fear of me snapping off the little lugs that snap the ear cushions back on I don't remove them at all-instead I blot the sweat out of them with kitchen towel-the sponge is really good at wicking the moisture out of them. Another reviewer mentioned the strange "ear shape" to them, rather than them being round and to me it is odd that more headphones are not this shape-they fit the shape of my ears very well. Finally, they don't make me run faster :-(3 MONTHS LATER...Still performing well. Looking more like value for money. Come on Philips, 3 more months!!

but over-ear headphones designed for physical activity are pretty rare. Phillips made the SHQ5200 for exactly this ...
I can't stand earbuds, but over-ear headphones designed for physical activity are pretty rare. Phillips made the SHQ5200 for exactly this niche, so I decided to splurge and give them a try.The sound quality is excellent for fitness headphones, and they stay on my head whether I'm running, lying on a bench, hair grows out, no problem! They also don't block out external sound so I can run outside with them and still be aware of my surroundings. My only complaints are regarding the cord: The plastic shirt clip is flimsy and the cord has an extension that tends to get in the way: Would have been better if you could just swap cords directly at the headphone.Overall, I think these are the best you can get if you want to train with over-ear headphones and decent sound quality.
