Larry is Awesome!
I didn't know much about Larry before I read this book, but now I have complete respect and admiration for him. I plan to be doing a lot of socializing and speaking in my career I'm building. I found this book to be a great foundation for raising my self-confidence and making public speaking to be not such a big deal. You'll not only learn some effective techniques for both social and professional speaking, but you'll get to go through how he felt inside when he first started out and then how he grew to become an even stronger speaker--No Fear. Can you imagine yourself not feeling any fear at all when it comes to talking on live air with a celebrity or politician? You will see that it is easily possible for you in this book. Enjoy!!! I did, and still do, because I re-read it from time to time. I think I just like his writing.

Great book!
I've never really watched LK or knew much about him, but I got this book based on the title. It was wonderful. Even though much of it didn't necessarily apply to me, I found golden nuggets of hints scattered throughout. It was an enjoyable read and I have great reference points from it.

Nice tips for better communication
I will be honest, I only read this book because a friend recommended it to me. I personally don't think I struggle talking to people, but more so enjoy it. I thought I knew everything there was to talking to anyone, anywhere, anytime. Larry King's book didn't necessarily prove me wrong, but it has definitely equipped me with even more tips and tricks to communicating better in all sorts of environments. The book itself is an easy read and I enjoyed it for the most part, but being a person who does not really indulge in the lives of celebrities, I found it hard to connect with the reading at times. Otherwise I would say it's a good read.

11 Mental Models from the book:
'How to Talk to Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere' can be summarised into 11 mental models:1. ACTIVATION ENERGY+To start a conversation, look for things such as furnishings, mementos or photographs to ask about.+'What if' Questions - A fail-safe way to start a conversation or to pick one up during a lull. E.g "What if COVID continues, do you think the stock market will take a hit"? or "What if you had just built your dream home and you were told that scientists had discovered a fault line, would you move?"+Interest Gauging Questions - These questions help to determine if you will connect with the person. It will show if they follow current events and their level of interest in the subject. E.g: "Everybody seems to have an opinion on 'abc'. What's yours? or "I just heard 'xyz', do you think we are headed for....?2. COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE+We speak 18,000 words a day, so it makes sense to become the best speaker that we can be.+Everyone has something interesting to say: Everybody is an expert at something. Ask yourself: What can I learn from them?3. EGO+Look for opportunities to allow people to talk about themselves and their life accomplishments.4. EMOTIONS: NERVOUSNESS+Tell your audience that you are nervous if you are nervous. This will reduce your nerves and make you more relaxed and help you to connect with the audience.5. FIRST PRINCIPLE THINKING+The greatest question ever is: "Why?"6. LATERAL THINKING+ The best conversationalist look at things from a new or unique angle, taking an unusual perspective on a common subject.7. MISE-EN-PLACE+When public speaking use this structure:-Tell the audience what you are going to tell them.-Tell them.-Summarize what you've told them8. PARETO PRINCIPLE+Improve your:-Voice-Delivery-Appearance9. SEIZING THE MIDDLE+ A good question is one that resonates with everyone, one that can cut through generations, education, and sociological and economic lines.10. SUPPLY AND DEMAND+When selling: Sell the advantages, not the features.11. TRUST+The most important thing in conversation is to put the person at ease.+Combine being persistent in asking a question with discretion, asking in a way that makes the person feel at ease.+When you want feedback: "I have a feeling I could be doing my job more effectively. Can you help me understand what areas I should concentrate on?"

The book is very easy-to-read.
I loved everything in the book: Larry’s writing style, his jokes, the examples from his rich experience. Although it may seem that the author writes basic things, it might be helpful to review the profound ideas behind them. I recommend this book for those interested in the art of talking and building good communications.

Useful book - enjoyable read.
This is one of the most useful books that you’ll end up using tips from. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. Besides some simple and sticky conversation tips - a Larry King is a good storyteller.

Daily Wisdom for daily talking
I really enjoyed that Larry gave me back the basics of talking and making presentations or even class teaching that I had began to move away from thinking there was a new way. Humans are still humans and Larry's tips to, stick to what you enjoy, say no to what you don't, get better at what you know, keep current, prepare and practice was good enough for me.
